Best lip injections too!. I've been getting botox & lip injections for years & have tried 5 other doctors in NYC (mainly dermatologists) & this place is the best by far. I've strayed only when looking for cheaper prices, but it was never worth it! I've always had to go back to these guys to fix problems caused by these other doctors- which, of course, cost MUCH more in the long run.

For anyone looking for lip injections specifically- you have GOT to get it done by someone who specializes in lip injections! The problem is that any Dr. is willing to do it, & tout themselves as an expert, whether they know how or have experience or not!

At smoothmed, Dr. Berdy actually listens to you & sculpts your lips to your particular taste, (he doesn't just give you some generic trouty clown look like other Dr.s do because it's the only one they know). He gives you a mirror so you can look & see & offer feedback . IMO- this is the sign of an expert. The last dermnatologist who screwed up my lips actually said to me after refusing to vitrase it "I like it, if I were another Dr looking at you I'd think it was a good job." Really? Is that what you're goal is? So it's not about me looking how I want to look, or getting the look I PAID for? Your goal is for YOU to think you did a good job? The whole point was to plump but w/ a natural look- so it wouldn't be obvious I even had a 'lip job.' Ugh- if you could only see my lower lip- I had to walk around looking like a CLOWN for 2 weeks! Bottom line, this is your face, you have to wear it & be comfortable w/ it, so my advice is go to an expert who specializes & understands that your feelings about your appearance matter; because they are the reason you're there (paying them) in the first place!

Best Botox in NYC!. I decided to give my first go at Prevelle during Spa Week in NYC. I came to SmoothMED after a lot of research and consideration and I am so glad I did!

It was the best experience I could imagine!! Walking into the door you get a sense of security right away. The office feels clean and the staff was so nice and professional. I knew I was in good hands.

I have always been really self conscious of my lips, as they are extremely small. Dr. Berdy was so nice from the start and made me feel so comfortable. He did not point out my flaws, but yet let me explain where and why I felt I needed Prevelle.

The process was so fast and painless. The assistant put numbing cream on my lips and the actual injections did not hurt at all. The assistant was more than helpful and accommodating and Dr. Berdy was gentle, yet really efficient.

4 days later, I love my lips and have lost any self- consciousness I ever had! I would recommend anyone giving botox even the slightest consideration to come here!!

I will be back - for sure. I read all the reviews on this site before coming. All the reviews really helped me with my decision, so I thought I'd write my experience to help others.

My first botox experience was a bust - I went to a glitzy chain med spa store in the mall (located in the suburbs outside of Boston). I won't say exactly where - but you can ask me personally if you want. The girl that did my botox wasn't even a doc - she was a P.A. (physician's assistant?). She gave me many injections to get rid of the double lines between my eyebrows. After 2 weeks, nothing happened, so I went back for more. I got a total of 22 units of botox. By the way, the botox she used on me smelled really strange! Like sour chemicals - anyone ever experience this? I got some wrinkle relief for a few weeks, then it wore off! I didn't even know it was possible. Anyone have an explanation?

Anyways, I went to Dr. Berdy a very skeptical person. I told him my previous botox experience and how the right side was lopsided. He said I needed 24 units and he would do his best. I got my botox on Friday evening (I did a walk in) and today is Monday night. My furrowing muscles are already 80% paralyzed. There is no lopsidedness and I do not need to go back for a touch-up. Dr. Berdy injected me in, I would say only 5 spots and some of the locations he injected me were different than the previous lady. His botox also did not smell like some weird sour putrid chemical. I bled much less than the first botox and the swelling was much less also.

Conclusion: This is a great price and the doc has skills. I have not found a better price here in Boston for botox performed by a real doc. The next time I make a trip to NYC, I'll be seeing Dr. Berdy again. I'll be sending my friends his way too. I'm definitely never going back to a chain med spa ever again. I was stupid, forgive me.

Great Place!!!. Thank you for your great work, Smoothmed! I will be a long time customer of this place, and have already told so many people. They were very professional and I came out with great results! Dr Berdy was great, and really listened to what I wanted. I can't wait for next time!

i got CARDED on a sun morning after rolling out of bed!!!. i will admit i laughed at the guy who asked for ID (and was at best HALF my age) on that sun morning when i was buying groceries for the week and ONE bottle of wine!!! but it's still my fav story to tell!!! plus it's all i need to say about the results from my visit - i think it was my second!!!

to top it off, i'm afraid of needles, so they gave me numbing cream and the dr was very patient - i didn't even flinch! have sent many friends - all loved it! go, go, go!!!

BEST EXPERIENCE. I've been to spas in other parts of the country and this was the most positive experience I had. Dr. Berdy had the lightest touch (least amount of pain) with injections. Very friendly staff. Relatively competitive pricing. Many spas around the city charge "per area". This is bogus. I've never heard of this before. It's unfair to the patient. Smoothmed charges per unit. You get what you pay for. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

First Botox experience and couldn't be happier!. I came to Smoothmed a little nervous since I have never had Botox before. I saw Dr. Berdy for my treament. I had my consultation with him and what I enjoyed most was that he asked me "what bothers you?". He didn't tell me what he thought I needed to have done by just looking at me. He let me express what bothered me and then told me the treatment that would be appropriate. I recieved Botox in my forehead and I'm super happy with the results. I expressed to him that I wanted it to look natural and still have movement in my eyebrows and that is exactly what he did for me. The injections were painless! I asked at the end "that's it?" I was done in 2 minutes pain free! Overall I enjoyed my experience at Smoothmed and recommend it to anyone interested in having Botox and has a busy schedule!

The best place in the workd. They are siply the best. Before Smootmed I had a botox done in one of the most popular and expensive clinigue in NY, but doctor in Smootmed did his job much better. The result was simply much better. And atmopshere in Smootmed...everything is like you have a feeling you are in the spa!:-)

Honestly, you can not find such a good doctor as he is in Smootmed, nowhere.

Good Pricing, Honest Business, Real Doctors. Felt I needed to tell everyone about this place. I'm heading to a big reunion soon and wanted to look rested. (Botox on the forehead can take away that stressed look like nothing else can.)

You can walk in without an appointment. At most, it's a thirty minute wait. The doctors are real MDs. Dr. Berdy was my doctor and performed a truthful detailed facial exam.

They try to perform the treatment with the least amount of medicine needed. If you don't need a treatment, they will tell you so. Dr. Berdy even mentioned that I may need a bit more medicine, but suggested waiting a bit so I don't need to spend more money.

One important tip I can offer is to check their website and twitter for specials. The specials and twitter daily deals are not posted in the office, only the standard treatment rates. But even then, the doctor was happy to adjust my bill to match the website special a week after treatment -- clearly good business practice.

I hope they stay around a long time and even expand into other medical facial treatments, like those for acne, scars, and spider veins.

This place is wonderful!. I have had several visits to Smoothmed and have greatly enjoyed my results. Highly Recommend!
