Finally..... There is a suitable steakhouse on the UES. The vibe is loungy, the service is EXCELLENT and ATTENTIVE, the steak was perfect and the wine was delicious. I have found my new neighborhood favorite!

Exellente. Outstanding.

Definitely a winner owners proved downtown can work for UES. Steaks were choice hand picked; better then some I tried at Wolfgang and Peter Lugar.

Finally I can go to see some art and have a good meet with happy people working there. Wine list was reasonable and reseved list had some allocated wines.

I leared

Ask for manager if you have a big party very accomodating.

Thay were packed and everyone was so nice to us. After short time we were seated in the dining room. Food was exelent I was happy we waited for table it was worth it. New York doesnt wait but for this he might stop for a sec

best new neighborhood hotspot. great addition to the neighborhood. it replaced an old tired spot. bar/lounge area was packed with young professionals. finally a bar in the neighborhood that doesn't focus on the college or sports crowd. you can have great drinks and actually have a conversation.

Amazing steaks!. Went for my birthday dinner and was more than pleasantly surprised. The raw oysters were delicious and the t-bone steak was amazing. I've tried many NY steak houses with Ruth's Chris being my favorite so far and this was a close second. Was a bit nervous about trying a reinvented retaurant with new cuisine but I'm glad I gave it a shot because it was wonderful! Highly recommended.

Upper East Delight. After a trip to the Whitney (fairly close to Lenox Room) for a Picasso exhibition, we (my museum/dinner/party buddy and I) arrived on time for our reservation, but were asked to wait a while at the bar 'til a table freed up (probably about 15 minutes)...while we waited, we both enjoyed a glass of white wine (a pinot grigio for me and something that wasn't a pinot grigio for her (sorry, I don't know my wines).

For the appetizer, she went with the Foie Gras Chicken Liver Parfait (I don't think she'll be having foie gras again anytime soon)...I went with the Crispy Shrimp Spring Roll (crisp and flavorful).

For the entree, she went with the Wild Mushroom Risotto, which she seemed fairly content with...I went with the Roasted Gianonne Chicken (with a side of mashed potatoes), which tasted like a Rotisserie chicken that you can get at supermarkets, which is not say it's bad, but nothing special. Also ordered champagne (Veuve Cliquot), which they had to chill before serving it. It was a struggle for either of us to finish this bottle of Veuve, but the alcoholic in me helped me through it.

For dessert, we both ordered the Warm Chocolate Cake. Presented with chocolate sauce zig-zagging the plate, this looked like the highlight of the dinner...portion of chocolate cake was generous and also included a scoop of pistachio ice cream with a thin cookie sitting on top of it. I don't know what did me in since I was practically on an empty stomach coming into the restaurant, but I could not handle any more food and didn't have any bit of the dessert, so it just sat there in front of me melting away (she managed to find room for the awesome dessert and for that, I applaud her).

Staff was very attentive and made the experience here that much more enjoyable, and I would come back again just so I can try that dessert even if it means maybe finishing half an entree.

Nice neighborhood place. Very nice neighborhood spot. Great for a date. Very pretty decor with candles everywhere and red walls. Food is nothing special, the menu is average at best. Fried calamari and pizza, and a pasta dish w/ duck ragout. Salad w/ beets and blue cheese, nothing special. Service was nice, and not expensive. A good place to have a drink and watch a baseball playoff game at the bar (tonight! Go METS!). Not worth seeking out, but if you live on the upper East side, a place worth checking out.

The Lenox Room. Sit, relax, enjoy.. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Friday night. The place was crowded, but there was one corner table that we quickly took. I had been in here before for a drink at the smallish front bar and liked the look of the place - a low light, plush, cool comfy-cozy but oddly elegant feel. We treated ourselves to the fried oysters, nicely done with a perfect coating and served over a small bed of wasabi infused seaweed salad in the shell, followed by a very tasty and large fresh beet salad. For an entree we shared the crispy skin Atlantic salmon (yes, I know everyone's crazy about "wild" salmon..). They split the portion in the kitchen - actually I think they were two separate filets - which is always appreciated and the fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also shared a side of brocolli rabe, which was also very good (it's amazing how bad brocolli rabe can be at some places..overcooked & bitter..). Trendy, fun music pumped through the speakers throughout dinner and the place filled up even more as we were leaving. Service was casual but good. With two drinks the tab was $68.

High Expectations not met. When invited to dine at the Lenox room by colleagues I was expecting a much more pleasant dining experience than I had received. Although the decadence of the place is very chic and the food and drinks are adequately priced I would not recommend it to anyone. The service was autrocious in fact my order came out wrong and our wine was never repoured throughout the entire dinner, which lasted 3 hours. I felt as if the servers could be a little more personable instead of so conscious of the way they stand....its as if they are in the military!

Pretty Place, Great Service. We celebrated a friend's birthday at Lenox Room, and we all had a good time. The food was good, the decor nice, and we had the nicest waiter! He was extra attentive, very friendly and super polite. He made our night there a very enjoyable one. I'd definitely go back again.
