In the West Village's distant reaches, this mellow, handsome wine lounge is dominated by a glossy tin ceiling and dark-wood wraparound bar, where locals sip 150-plus global vintages, each available by the glass (with a minimum of two glasses). The food is equally exemplary, with pressed sandwiches (try the turkey, fontina and jalapeño jelly), tart fennel salad, charcuterie (like dry-cured Hungarian lamb sausages) and cheese sourced from Artisanal. For dessert, the whimisically flavored Tumbador chocolates are top notch.

it's a great place to come and wind down after work. we stoped by on Friday and stayed until almost closing. Pleasant environment, great people and to pair that with excellent wine selection and great food. can somone wish for any better!?! Had a wonderful time! the 07 pinot noir from Oregon was fantastic.

very cozy wine bar with great merlots

This bar has a very cozy, comfortable feeling. The wine is fantastic. I had a great Dom de la patience merlot from France during happy hours. It's great that you can buy wine by the glass and not having to pay for the whole bottle. The Hungarian salami was delicious!

I am a regular customer at Lelabar and they just started offering brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. They do a great job at it with great varieties of food and wine. excellent smoked salmon! They are always great and can't expect anything less.
