Puglia Restaurant has made history in Little Italy. From a basement eatery to a popular restaurant, we have never failed to ignite the appetite in each of our guests.

In 1919 Gregorio Garofalo arrived from Puglia, a region in Southern Italy, to begin his American dream. He rented a basement, put in his coal stoves and sprinkled sawdust on the floor. With his knowledge of creating homemade wines and his passion for cooking, Gregorio's dream began and Puglia Restaurant was born.

In no time at all, people came from great distances to indulge in the delicacies Gregorio prepared and the friendly service he offered, treating all guests like a member of his own family.

After three generations, Puglia Restaurant is still making history with its authentic Italian dishes. Puglia Restaurant thanks you for making Gregorio's dream a reality. Visit us the next time you're in Little Italy!

Ive been going here for almost 30 years and it is still excellent! I grew up in Jersey about 20 minutes away and always go to this place. Now I live in CT and it's our 1st stop when we go to the city! Bella!

Outdoor seating was awful. The umbrella was broken & falling over. The water had something floating in it. The plastic chairs were flimsy & dirty. Service was lazy. Ravioli was flavorless. The marinara sauce tasted homemade & was yummy, as was the bread. Linguini shrimp w/ white wine sauce was mediocre. Cheesesticks, mediocre. Pizza was average. Point is, nothing was overly flavorful or "distinguished". An okay place for a not-so-quick bite. The atmosphere was just sort of trashy, and I'm NOT at all a snob. It just seemed like a neighborhood pizza joint, just more expensive.

My wife and I were in Little Italy this weekend and stopped in for lunch. The service was amazing and so was the food. I usually get spagetti carbonara and love it. My wife had never been there before and she ordered the Lasagna and loved it. I then tried it and also fell in love with it. We travel alot and both love italian. They have the best LASAGNA of any place we have ever eaten. I would highly recommend stopping by and enjoying this lovely restaurant.
