VERY GOOD FOOD....AND FREE WINE, TOO. This is a very nicely decorated Chinese restaurant, nothing like the standard, sparse take-out places that dot the city. The service is very good, the food is delicious, and they serve you unlimited free wine......not the best, of course, but certainly not plonk. This is a difficult combination to beat.

Sunny Chinese- Best value in the Upper East Side. I have been eating at Sunny for about 1 1/2 years. Friendly service is a big plus but their Chinese cuisine is probably the best value / quality for the price. Fresh shrimp, fish or duck with some of the tastiest dumplings this side of Chinatown. They also serve red or white wine on the house which they serve with a smile. I have been there with kids and family parties big and small and they are very customer oriented.

I have had some terrific dishes not served in normal "Chinese" restaurants such as Winter Mellon with Chicken and Shrimp in a spicey brown sauce and Lotus Root with shrimp in a white garlic sauce. Their soups are great especially their Hot and Sour (veg) and their House Special soap which is loaded with fresh vegetables with chicken, pork and shrimp. They also serve a great Tom Yum thai soup....I know it does not fit - but its good.

Take out is great and they serve and deliver after 11 PM a big plus for work junkies like me. I am not sure what the previous review was complaining about as I suspect the workers did not understand what " Utensils" means. But if you speak in plain English and ask for a knive , fork and plate - like I have they gladly will be

happy to please....

Great neighborhood restaurant!. We've been enjoying dinners at Sunny almost every week - and sometimes more than once a week, since they opened, Realle wide menu selections, friendly service, fine fresh food well prepared , and complimentary wine or tea with your eat in dinner! No wonder it's often lively and crowded. Faves - design your own meals, basil veggies, duck spring roll and summer rolls. We go often with friends, eat til we're stuffed and the cost is $15 or less per person. Anywhere , let alone the Upper East Side, this is awesome!

Fresh food...Fast. The food here is great!! Everything is fresh and delicious and the staff is friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for an affordable meal on the upper east side, then look no further. I don't know how they manage to keep the prices reasonable at this sit down restaurant without sacrificing quality, but they've done it! I have recommended this restaurant to friends and they've all loved it.

Horrible Rude Service. I ordered twice for delivery. Both times, the restaurant failed to provide utensils. When I called to ask them why it didn't provide plastic spoons, forks, chopsticks, or plates, the lady put me on hold and then proceeded to tell me that they don't provide utensils. I will never order from this place again.
