What People Are Saying About Firefly
Featured Review

Firefly is the claustrophobic sports fan's paradise. Atypically spacious, patrons can watch the game without cramming into a tight space only to struggle for a glimpse of the TV. Whether you relax in a cushiony booth in the bar area up front or at a table in the larger back room, you should have an unobstructed view of one of 16 HD flat-screens. Glorified pub grub treats like mini burgers and pulled pork sandwich sliders are available. When the game is over, the venue transforms into more of a dance club, which also results in a shift in the crowd.

Lots of TVs But It’s Better to Eat Before Arriving
by MJones72
This place is great when it comes to watching a sports event because there’s TVs all over the place. Great prices on beer pitchers, too. The only problem with the place is that the food isn’t very good. It’s over fried and way too greasy. As long as you learn to eat before you show up to watch the game, then it’s great place to hang out.

Mets fans should stay in Queens and not come to the city to watch a ball game.
great spot for sports

I came here with a group of 6 friends on championship sunday last weekend. If you're looking for a place to watch a game, definitely go to firefly. They have at least ten projection screen tv's, great wings, and friendly staff.
We had to wait for a table, so we started with drinks at the bar. The bartenders were awesome. She made me a mean cocktail and got my friends drinks out fast.
At the table, our waitress was equally awesome. She convinced us to get a keg of miller lite for the game, and I definitely don't regret that decision! The food was good too, the wings and seared tuna salad were my fav. Throughout the game, she took good care of us and was really hilarious and friendly.
I definitely recommend this place. Probably gonna come back for superbowl.
First time here

I visited firefly for the first time last week and I absolutely loved it! We went there on a Saturday night and had a blast. The dj played really fun, obscure music that you don't typically hear in other bars. She (the dj) even took a few requests from us. All in all we had a great time and definitely will be returning.
Racist Call
by Az11204
I was out with few friends celebrating a birthday. We were sitting at the bar for about 45 minutes having drinks. Shortly after ordering a second round, a man entered ,checked us out for a couple of seconds and walked toward the back. A minute latter, the bartender handed us the check asking us to pay it. At first I though the bartender was closing up his shift and needed to settle the check but he said that the owner (the guy that checked us out) told him to ask us to leave. I approached the owner and wanted to know the reason, his answer was that none of us had American Ids. The bouncer was very pleasant and we had no problem getting in. That was a totally racist call for some very unprofessional reason where at Firefly, the color of your skin dictates the rules if you can stay and have to be asked to leave. Very sad to experience in NYC in the 21 st Century.
