A life changing experience...

Wow! I recently visited N.Y. and while I was there, I tried yoga for the first time. Elizabeth was my teacher. She was fabulous and helped me modify so that I was able to keep up with the rest of the class as it was not a beginners class. Elizabeth gave everyone a lot of personal attention. It put me in a physical and mental state that I had never experienced before. All the stress just drained from my body and mind. B Yoga is an inviting and beautiful studio located in Soho.
Great news for all of us out of towners...Elizabeth is going to offer yoga on dvd soon. I can't wait to get her dvd's. I plan on making it a daily ritual!
LOVE yoga at B Yoga!

I truly can?t say enough positive things about B Yoga. I have practiced yoga sporadically over the years at various studios in NYC and elsewhere, but as soon as I found B Yoga in April 2008 (on Citysearch), I was instantly hooked. I feel like I am going into withdrawal if I don?t show up there 3 or 4x a week. :-) I have taken classes from about 10 of the teachers and they are all consistently excellent: inspiring, safe, challenging (depending upon the class level) ? and it is obvious that they care about their students, as they make an effort to get to know everyone. Won?t mention each teacher individually, but must mention Elizabeth, the founder/owner ? she is fantastic and very passionate about the studio. She sets a welcoming and focused tone.
A few highlights:
-The atmosphere is fun, friendly, low-key and peaceful. I used to get pretty stressed out by the crowds and competition at some other well-known studios in NYC ? none of that here.
-Tons of classes and wide range of levels (from just beginning to very advanced).
-Prices are very reasonable.
-Classes are never overcrowded and the studio seems to attract a really nice community of students.
-Great ?extras? ? B Yoga hosts concerts, workshops, etc. For example, I attended a ?Yoga & Massage? workshop one Sunday evening ? what could be better?! Also the yoga with live music is great? their website is frequently updated with new events.
-The space is serene, light, clean, comfortable ? a gorgeous classic high-ceilinged loft.
My only suggestion ? wish there was a 6:30am class so I could get my ?fix? before work (however there is a daily 7am meditation and 7:30-8:30am practice for days when I can get to work a bit later).
Overall, I highly recommend B Yoga!
- Pros: great teachers, friendly environment, lovely studio
Best Yoga Studio In NYC

I've been taking classes at B Yoga and have started the teacher training program there as well. I have never felt more welcome in a studio than I do there. Elizabeth (the owner and program facilitator) is so knowledgeable and has really put her heart and soul into the studio. The space is open and light, and exudes a calm energy the minute you walk through the door. I've taken classes with 5 teachers, and all are extremely knowledgeable and vigilant, makeing adjustments throughout the class so that you better your own practice. It is a very accepting place, where they encourage you to be as you are, and respect where you are in your practice right now. It's the most inviting studio I've been to here, and I've been to several. It has definitely become my home studio. They have convenient class times throughout the week, which is also helpful for those with a busy schedule. Try it once, you'll keep going back!
