Recent Ivy League grads gather in this wood paneled pub to take in a game, play a little Photo Hunt and catch a glimpse of their neighborhood's clean-cut single's scene. While the beer menu features some hard-to-find bottles like Belgium's raspberry-infused Lambic Frambois, most of the clientele stick with Bud Light. With a friendly (and international) bar staff, a kitchen open until midnight, and an assortment of catchy pop singles playing overhead, an enjoyable night is possible even if you strike out with the opposite sex.
Hits: A back area provides the perfect locale for a private party, and because Swig lacks the dinginess of other pubs, it may also be the perfect spot for an office shindig.
Misses: The clean-cut crowd is hardly overflowing with individuality, and on the Upper East Side, this nondescript bar could be overkill.
