Hi-Life Restaurant & Lounge is an Upper Eastside New York restaurant whose stainless steel neon signs have been a neighborhood fixture since 1993. Hi-Life's classic diner decor, reflective of the 1930s, include vintage a vintage art deco mahogany bar, button-tufted booths and leather banquette searing. This NY American restaurant's "brasserie" menu is diverse and delicious featuring comfort foods like steaks and chops as well as sushi and sashimi. Pastas, seafood and Hi-Life burgers are favorites.
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, an iPod lounge features DJ tunes, diner played iPod faves and fun...of course with icy martinis and specialty cocktails served every day.
Hi-Life Restaurant & Lounge is as unique as the people who pass through its doors. Grab some friends, a drink and swing by the sushi bar to complete the picture...that's the Hi-Life in NYC.

Hi-Life Restaurant & Lounge is an upper eastside institution, and the stainless steel and neon Hi-Life sign has been a fixture in the neighborhood since 1993. Hi-Life's classic 1930's decor includes a vintage art deco mohogany bar, button-tufted hollywood booths and chocolate leather banquette seating. What's more, Hi-Life's American brasserie menu is diverse and delicious; featuring well-priced comfort foods, retro classics and an authentic sushi bar.

Stopped by last Thursday night with a few girlfriends and had a great time. Food, drinks and service was excellent. I didn't know Hi-life had a DJ on Thursdays....he played awesome music (cute too--lol). The friendly atmosphere makes it very inviting. Recommended to everyone!

What my boyfriend and I love about Hi-Life is the different invironments within the restaurant/lounge. Sometimes we sit in the window, other time we request a booth. The other night we met a group of friends in the lounge. There is just as much diversity in the menu with big plates and bowls for a real sit down dinner, or small plates and sushi for a lighter meal. And for the quality, great prices too!
