I had a couple of quotes from some other kitchen designers but I liked the fact that NYKB take on the whole headache themselves. It was worth every penny! Perry and his crew took full responsibility from start to finish, Barbara was great to work with!! and I was kept updated throughout the whole project. The results are awesome! It is really the kitchen of my dreams - thanks NYKB!

The designers are knowledgeable and professional, but still very friendly. I walked in having no clue of what I really wanted, and left with a new view on how my kitchen should look. Very pleased with their services!

I am so excited to share my experience with you.I walked into their downtown showroom just to look around. So much selection and eye candy. I close the deal. Not the cheapest in town but the service,oh what service. Everyone i worked with from the designer to the installers and the plumbers were so professional. My cabinets arrived on time and all the accessories i chose were delivered right to my door.No mistakes. I was warned that home improvement projects were very stressfull,not so in my case. NYKB was there for me every step of the way. Personal attention and service was provided.I highly recommend this company to everyone i speak to who is looking to improve their residence.

I want to let new Yorkers know of my
experience with NYKB . Overall, my wife and I have had a great journey with the NYKB team and I think it is important to let others know how helpful specific members of the NYKB team have been to us.
When we embarked on our master bathroom renovation last year, we chose NYKB based on the strength of designer Barbara Fiume. While NYKB was not the least expensive option we had, we felt Barbara best understood the aesthetic we were trying to achieve and that NYKB could realize that vision. That said we left neither cost or quality of delivery to chance - I grilled the owner Perry Hiiman personally on price and NYKB itself. Price we were able to negotiate, ultimately my confidence in NYKB's ability to deliver came down to Perry's word. And, as Perry promised, over the course of the project NYKB stood behind every promise Perry made Specifically, Perry had his team redo items that I felt needed re-work (e.g. one of the moldings and some electric). Perry ensured that his vendors redid work that wasn't perfect (like our glass partition), and he even addressed items that we forgot to include (e.g. our bathroom entrance door). In short, I felt like perry treated our bathroom project as he would have his own. In a perfect world, nothing would need re-work, but in the real world it was a comfort to know that Perry had our back.
The NYKB construction crew on my project did very well. The construction team didn't blindly implement exactly what we had originally decided on. After demo when unknown conditions came up the team suggested small changes that would make the renovation even better. NYKB's plumber did the same. For example, he leveraged prior experience with the bathroom drain that we had chosen and suggested a modification that reduced clogging down the line. (and with 2 children this is certainly a great value) He found a way to accommodate the toilet we had chosen. The custom vanity NYKB created is beautiful. Things were very well done, and in the end the collaboration between us and NYKB ensured that we got as close to perfect as we should expect.
This year we came back to NYKB to renovate our entire house'. We have added to our family and are redoing everything except the bathroom NYKB did the first time. Like last year, we had solicited several bids, but in the end, we knew the caliber of NYKB's work and staff. We trusted that we'd get as close to perfect as we could again... just on a much bigger scale this time! So far, so good - Barbara's designs are once again on target and Construction supervisor Steve Babus's leadership has been at times accommodating, and at times firm - which I respect. He knows both the craft and the business of renovation. By knowing when to stick to his guns Steve has proved that he is the guy to run our renovation.
I'm sure we'll be collaborating once again throughout this project, (and I'm sure we'll have ups and downs) but I can't say enough about how much my wife and I appreciate NYKB and what they have done for us thus far. I can be detailed, demanding, and possibly difficult at times but NYKB has really been a great partner on this most intimate of projectsâ?¦ after all, we are trusting NYKB with the place we call home.

Granite countertops!!!!. I was looking for granite counter-tops for my kitchen, but I had a dilemma... I didn't want the cheap kind, but also didn't want to spend a lot of money. I looked everywhere and I always found the same cheap kind or the extra expensive one...Then I went to NYKB and my problem was solved...amazing price and EXCELLENT quality......The best...

NYKB designed and renovated both my Kitchen and my Master Bathroom.
My wife and I are thrilled with the results.
From beginning to end NYKB team were available to assist us in every aspect of the process.
We were thrilled to have a full service firm take all the guess work out of our project.
They made sure that all items fit and gave us many options along the way to meet with our budget.
Our backsplash continues to be the jewel of our kitchen, family and friends always comment on it as soon as the walk in the room.l
During the process our building required us to upgrade our electric and plumbing and the team was on the job ready to go and we knew the pricing ahead of time since it was on the back of our contract just in case it was needed.
We are extremely grateful to NYKB for providing us with a look and function that we love!
We highly recommend NYKB and their team to anyone looking to renovate any part of their home.
They really delivered and went above and beyond what we expected.

My Experience.
I had quotes from a couple of other places and NYKB was a little more expensive but the plumbers, electricians and designer offered with my contract really helped me make the decision to hire them. For me, that slightly higher expense was worth it since I had those choices and the work was done by one contractor rather than having to keep track of multiple jobs. NYKB’s Designer, Barbara Fiume, handled my issues in a professional and courteous manner. It’s not easy to find a company that really understands customer service, so working out the kinks with Barbara and Perry Hiiman, the owner, went well because they actually get it!
Barbara is the person who schedules the installations and she worked with me to coordinate the time I would have to take off of work including the fact that I was going to have a house full of overnight guests for a wedding five weeks after the intended start date. Of course I wanted it done BEFORE my guests arrived, but was willing to wait until after that weekend because the time frame seemed a little short and I wanted to have a fully functioning bathroom and kitchen while they were here. Barbara worked it out to have everything but the tile backsplash in the kitchen done in time for my guests arrival. While I was a little concerned about them actually making that time frame, I told her to go for it and kept my fingers crossed. She said she had faith in her crews and I took her word for it.
I can’t say enough about Perry and his crews as they managed to not only get the whole job done in time for my guests arrival, but did a great job including working around a hidden surprise in the walls while removing bathroom fixtures. They not only arrived on time, but went the extra mile giving the job a real personal touch. Perry called me on a couple of occasions to check on how things were going and he and Barbera managed to get a plumber here to replace the broken valve within a few hours of them discovering the problem. They cleaned up before they left each time and I really couldn’t tell that anyone had been here working at all.
I would definitely use NYKB again and will recommend them to my friends and coworkers.
