my favorite place changed to the worst place..

my favorite place changed to the worst place..
I was in this place 6 months back and really liked this place, the food and specially service they offered to me. I was back from Florida 1 week before and went to this place again to get the same food and service but was disappointed. I am sure the management has been changed because I could see the new faces there. Still the food was ok but the service was horrible, thats right absolutely horrible..
I don't have knowledge about Indian food but I know they are spicy. When I went to Tadka for the first time I needed help, the man realized and jumped to my table. You can guess they had personalized service. The man recommended me a food and really liked it. This time the same man wasn't there so I had to explain to the new guy there. I couldn't remember the name of the food so I was explaining to the guy but couldn't understand. He called another man he couldn't help me either. I thought they were inexperience and don't know about the food, their food, the food they make in their restaurant. The man looked nervous and pretended he understood me. Finally I got the food but the different one, anyway I took it and was ok. After that nobody came to my table not even to refill my empty water glass. Finally I got my check before my table was clear.
Disappointed by the service. Once used to be my best place, I am never going back to this place. Now looking for another Indian restaurant with good food and best service.
hats off to the management

One day I was walking around Lexinton Avenue with my Indian colleague. We walked through the 53rd street and I saw a lot of Indian restaurant in this place. All the Indian restaurant including some Japanese and Italian restaurants were empty but one tiny restaurant was full of customers, infact, some people were waiting outside on the line. We were curious to know the reason why all the people are there. So, we also get to the line and after 20 minutes we were able to get one table. I ordered some food and then I found out the reason why this restaurant is busy.
I saw a lot of big restaurants with adorable decoration doing worst business or no customers. This place is very tiny but very busy and I found the reason was "PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT". This place was the perfect combination of tasty food and quality service due to which I began to visit this place regularly, are you????????????
Great little find

This place specializes in delivery and will deliver to the west side as well. Their food is delicious and feels like home made - I cannot believe it took me this long to find it. Their veg. biryani, aloo tiki chat, malai kofta, and paneer specialties are awersome - I am a vegetarian and they have plenty of options. Their seating area is a bit tiny because they mostly deliver.
Tadka is owned by the same guy who owns Chola which is one block away. But there is a big difference in the food. Chola's north Indian leaves much to be desired, but Tadka's north Indian is to-die-for. At times Chola seems dingy and dark especially when they have large groups attending. Tadka is tiny but open and well lit. I highly recommend this place for homemade Indian food. The only con is that the food maybe a bit on the oily side,
- Pros: Yummy food
Experience good food and services

we notice very oftenly, if any type of business get success in certain area, other business men are getting more interested to start same business, same category in the same area with the cheaper price but unfortunately, its not that easy to maintain the quality up to that level, where the knowledgeable business men are doing the successful business. Tadka Indian Cuisine is the best example for all the restaurant owner. We love Tadka,
- Pros: knowledgeable owner, good food & service
- Cons: nothing
Horrible Customer Service

If you want lunch on a weekday you should order the night before, and STILL WAIT. Obviously this reatuarant does not opperate in our timezone because they consistently deliver food 4 hours late. That's right. I said 4. No exageration. Our company has two times to order food, 11:30 and 12:30. I ordered the 11:30 hoping that it would come by 12:30. Big mistake. I guess they figured the 11:30 lunches were a lost cause and instead concentrated on the 12:30 lunches. Those came on time but it is 1:30 and still no 11:30 lunches. That's not even the worst part though. They kept their phones off the hook for 30 minutes so they didn't have to answer to any of their customers. When I finally got their phone to ring I got hung up on right away, then I was told to hold and after 5 minutes was hung up on yet again. When I finally got ahold of someone he was not applogetic at all and when I asked him what time he thought the food would come, yes that's right, I GOT HUNG UP ON AGAIN!!!! Must have had a more important 12:30 lunch to take care of. They have the absolute most horrible service I have ever experienced in my life. I have made it my personal crusade to get our company to stop offering them as a choice and so far I am making some headway. I will never order from them again and I suggest neither of you reading this do either.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Horrible customer service, very late (4 hours) delivery time, expect to get hung up on if you inquire about the whereabouts of your food.
