Pleasant Surprise. I took a gamble and bid on an unknown 3 star in midtown. We ended up here and I arrived more than a little nervous after reading reviews on Expedia. Well, I don't know what hotel they stayed at but we had a wonderful time. It was only 2 blocks from central park, had several places to eat nearby including the hotel dining room, a Dunkin donuts right down the road, and even a little market down the block. It was clean, nice sized, and the staff was very nice and willing to help us navigate NYC. I liked having both firm and soft pillows. We had one waiter who was having a bad day but the restaurant manager instantly appologized so genuinely and nicely that I can't hold it against them :)

We had a double and it was definately enough room. They are in the midst of upgrading their rooms so the decor will probably be updated soon. The only complaint I had was there was no soda machines or sodas even in the gift shop. There was no in-room refrigerator either which would have been nice to keep drinks in. I don't always want to navigate the restaurant just for a soda when I am tired later at night.

It isn't a Marriott but it doesn't have the Marriott prices either! I would stay there again. The location is hard to beat!

For more than 50 years, this hotel's familiar green sign has signaled budget-friendly lodging for families and business travelers.. In Short
Since its 1952 debut in Memphis, Tenn., Holiday Inn has become one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world. Kids rule here: Children age 19 and younger stay for free when sharing a parent's room and as many as four children per family (age 12 or younger) eat for free at hotel restaurants. Other amenities include 24-hour business services, an in-room coffeemaker, iron, hair dryer, room service, a swimming pool and a fitness center.

Nice place worth the value. Our group was large and we got our rooms one next to the other. The staff was great, very informative and helpful, ready to help. They have a desk person just to help with the the subway information and attrations. Nice area close to great pizza places like Mariellas we love them... and the bakery in front of the McDonalds great breakfast all on 7th Ave. Also subway entrances are close by, Columbus Circle, Starbucks, Brookly Diner and Tavern on the Green was all in walking distance. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and clean.

Great value, good location, great staff. My family and I stayed over the weekend. We came in contact with 15 different hotel staff and every one of them was courteous, helpful, and professional. The bell hops gave great advice on restaurants and subways and generally went out of their way to look out for us.

Rooms are fine. Clean and in good shape. Not the Plaza but, at $330/night, a solid value.

Easy to reach the theater district, Central Park, and subways. Safe neighborhood.

Great hotel!. I will definintely stay here again. Reasonable rates, parking fees very reasonable. Friendly staff, with a Gray Lines tour office right at the hotel. They were a wealth of information and very happy to help. We walked to the theatre and found the subway quite easily to get us to a Yankees game. Also close to Columbus Circle and Central Park. The rooms were quite spacious (B Tower) for New York standards and very clean. Restaurant downstairs was good for breakfast, reasonable prices.

Great Value!!. My friends and I stayed here for a weekend. Convenient location. Accessible to the Theater District. We were able to walk to everywhere - restaurants, bars, clubs. The rooms were suprisingly spacious and inexpensive for NYC. The staff was helpful and accommodating and provided us with adjoining rooms. The hotel is not ultra-trendy or pretentious. Down-to-earth and good for all - singles, couples, families. The service was good. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast in their restaurant was delicious and fairly priced. The restaurant staff was also courteous and very accomodating. An absolute great deal! Will stay there again. Highly recommend!!
