Likoba Models at Luna de Juarez:. Great place. Check out this story about them on Newsblaze by David Pambianchi, Fashion, Food and Philantropy
Best quesadillas and margaritas in the world!. What more can I say about this place. Best quesadillas in the world. Excellent bar. Great service. Even the bathrooms are nice. Nice TVs at the bar, all play in HD (real HD, not stretched pictures like at other bars). I know this place is a restaurant but I go here and always sit at the bar. We haven't tried a lot of the entrees but we've tried the burritos and tacos and they were very good. Again, we always come back for the quesadillas and they are amazing. They also serve Heineken and Blue moon on tap, what more could you ask for.
World's finest fresh fruit frozen margaritas and service!.
I have been a part of the Manhattan food scene for nearly a decade and a true lover of margaritas, guacamole, and quality service!!!
This evening I was astonished by our server, Tino, and the otherworldly great products being served up at Luna de Juarez. If you find yourself in Astoria, you absolutely cannot miss out on the dining experience over there. So delicious, generous and romantic. I almost hesitate to write this review since I enjoyed having the place to ourselves, but it would be criminal to keep this info to ourselves. And besides, we're moving to Redondo Beach in a few weeks.
Go get em' and keep going back! You'll find yourself tipping 40%...no kidding.
All the best of the best in food and drink,

Wonderful. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite spots! The food has been fantastic every time. The shrimp empanadas, black bean soup, and enchiladas are a few of my favorites. As far as dessert, skip the peaches in Kahlua sauce for the Mexican fondue. The service ( perhaps a little slow last time but as we were not in a hurry was easily overlooked ) is very warm and friendly, and I personally enjoy the live music on the weekends. With a beautiful and romantic atmosphere, it's a wonderful date spot. I highly recommend it...
Doesn't get any better. My boyfriend and I were in here a few weeks ago - and the cute, seemingly young, but-super-polite waiter messed up my order - We swear the whole restaurant staff was aware of it and kept apologizing. I actually felt bad sending it back ... they quickly made up for it, offered us a free round of drinks and they were all extremely apologetic. Seriously... that first night triggered me into going back several more times and I've braught many of my friends. The food is delicious and they're by far the nicest restaurant staff we've met in Astoria. Highly recommended... and yes, order the empanadas. They're definitely the best around.
Very sad to leave. We LOVE this place and are very sad that we are moving away from the area next week. We have been going here every Friday night for Happy Hour for the past few months. It is family owned and run and they are the nicest people you'll ever meet. They have a great by-the-glass wine list and the margaritas are superb. Try the empenadas, I've never had better - they are out of this world. Happy Hour is every day from 5pm - 8pm, 1/2 price beer and margarita, you can't beat it. This place is a gem!
