Totally Ridiculously Amazingly Delicious. I just ordered in from this place and it was my first time (I've biked there a billion times since its so close to me but I was just biking for the last 2 hrs so I was too lazy) and I am impressed that the tacos weren't too soggy...I mean, they were a little damp, but that is to be expected if hot food is contained in containers = condensation. Despite that, the tacos were just as delicious as EVER...and the chilled soy with cinnamon drink is great for cutting into the spicy after-taste...that slight tingly burn around your lips that just feels so good! I love this taco place...and before I discovered it I didn't even really like tacos...but the grilled pork?! So juicy...I mean, the food is so good here that I had to stop what I was doing (digesting all the food I just ate) and write this review! And the moral of the story is: going in person is better than takeout, and stone owners write pretty crazy but accurate restaurant reviews.
the best mexi in NY. This place was amazing.!!.the service was so good and most of all i was so hungry,i was hoping the food was going to be good and oh my god.. i had the carnitas tacos and the nachos the best i have ever had.I hope this place stays here a very long time.
Downtown's most authentic taco joint is in ... Soho?. This small Nolita spot takes one small step towards quelling complaints about New York's lack of good Mexican joints. The atmosphere is festive and rustic, with chili pepper lights, a brightly painted mural over exposed brick and two rows of wooden tables crammed into an incredibly narrow space. This taqueria just might be up to California standards, mainly due to the tacos: crispy carnitas, moist fish or juicy carne asada stuffed into a soft tortilla brimming with guacamole, onions, cilantro and spicy salsa.
