In Short – The multi-level haven to socialites and the pocket square-wearing lads who love them is as extravagant inside as you'd expect. Membership allows guests wandering rights throughout the brownstone--in the high-ceilinged first floor lounge, the lantern-lit back garden, or the swankier third floor bar area--which provides plenty of space for aristocrats to play catch-up on such highfalutin' activities as deer hunting in Scotland. Prompt service is a plus, although considering the thousands of dollars paid annually by individual members for the right to sip $20 glasses of…
Editor's Tips
- When to Go:
- As the club is strictly for members' use only, plan to show up only when invited.
- Know Before You Go:
- They're adamantly against picture taking, so refrain from whipping out the digital cam, unless you plan to pack your things and leave shortly thereafter.
- The Extras:
- If you choose to order some food in one of the lounge areas, try the macaroni and cheese fries--a truly original snack.
Terrible Experience

Cool idea of a private club in a brownstone with each floor having a different theme...BUT
I will not be going back there, EVER. Had set reservations for dining in the main dining room and they kept us waiting for over 2 hours. We were told large party came in 1.5 hours past their set reservation and apparently they were more important. We didn't start eating until after 11pm at which point they turned the dining room into a night club. The Manager was very condescending and no respect for our comfort. Cool place but crappy management and staff. You can have it!
