be all you can be!

by anonymousnewyorker at Citysearch

dr. itzkoff took the time to hear out all of my concerns. though i was hesitant to try all she recommended, she has helped me so much! i never knew if i could be helped, but dr. itzkoff cared about me. she adjusted my medication with painstaking care and then we began talk therapy. she showed me so much i had never pieced together, and all of that is really paying off! old habits are falling by the way-side and I finally am that person I knew I could be inside!

  • Pros: caring, thoughtful, human, extremely smart

time counts

by woods of woodstock at Citysearch

Dr.Itzkoff had a quick return time with messages at all times and emergencies. She was supportive, compassionate, and skilled in observing and assessing the whole picture and took great measures to accommodate the various needs I had. Especially with agencies and clinics, which made me, as a parent and caregiver feel safe. She was able to stabilize the situation with a good combination of medications and it was discussed and clarified each time.

I am so thankful I found her and will be forever grateful.

  • Pros: Great amount of time spend observing and assessing

Experience is Everything

by Experiencecounts at Citysearch

Amanda Itzkoff, MD has impeccable credentials and graduated from the top schools, but when seeing any physician experience should be key. If I am seeing a physician and paying top dollar I want at least 15 years of licensed practice. Her date of license in NYS only started on 07/20/05, which is a bit over four years. I will take my chances with someone with excellent schools and a great hospital fellowship with some twenty years in the area of specialty.

  • Pros: Impeccable credentials
  • Cons: Licensed in NYS since 07/20/05
