Featured Review

In Short – Iguazu pays tribute to the famous Brazilian-Argentinean waterfalls of the same name with a menu of South American-inspired treatments. Massages like the Tiki Swedish and South American Beat mix it up with unique techniques and rhythmic music, while the blissful--and results-oriented--75-minute Pachamama is a customized rub-down using five different modalities. Facials target a variety of skin concerns with Naturopathica products; spa mani/pedis are sweetly scented with lavender or eucalyptus paraffin; and body scrubs feature ingredients like bamboo, lemongrass, coconut and…

Two Weeks Later, Pedicure still going strong
by annemarie626
a couple weeks ago i booked a mani pedi that i had bought on one of those deal websites. the day of my appointment the manicurist was running behind and the man at the front desk was really accommodating and apologetic because of it. everyone who worked there was really friendly and conversational. i also think that the manicurist did a great job. it was soothing and relaxing, and my nails looked great. even now, two weeks later, my pedicure is unchipped and as shiny as new, and i wear open toed sandals everywhere. i highly recommend this place.
- Pros: friendly staff, excellent services
just go

- Pros: everything
- Cons: a bit pricey
Best facial and great products to go along with it...
by Lea Ben david
I received many facials in the past but they always left me with a red face and disappointing results. Little did I know, I actually had nothing to worry about at Iguazu day Spa because the woman doing my facial knew exactly what she was doing and used excellent products meanwhile giving me useful tips on how to treat my skin on a daily basis. After 60 minute of relaxation including a neck, arm and foot massage I felt relieved from all my stress. Most of all, it left my skin looking better than ever and saw even more results after-wards. The spa manager was not only knowledgeable enough to advise me on which facial to choose from but also showed me some of their featured products to use to help me get my skin back to look its best. I felt obligated to write about my experience as it was an excellent one. Thank you Iguazu and you will see me regularly when i come up to New York.
Note: Starbucks, Chase bank, restaurants and a pharmacy are all in the same area, great to spend an afternoon in the city and get it all done.
- Pros: The location, the services and the staff.
- Cons: Absolutely nothing.
I had a very nice experience

i went to this spa yesterday for the 1st time upon recommendation . I had heard from a friend that their massages are really unique . Boy ! i wasn't disappointed . The spa was very quiet which i really liked and there's definitely a feel of serenity upon entering. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and was offered tea/ water ...
When my masseur was ready he took me upstairs of the spa where there is a quaint lounging area with 4 treatment rooms
My therapist asked me a few questions before proceeding. When he started the massage then I understood i was in good hands. The flow of the massage was continuous and just perfect. The music was also different from any other spa ive been to and created a new dimension to my relaxation. I enjoyed every minute of it. When the massage ended i was told to take my time and if i didnt listen to myself I could've stayed there for a while.
I will definitely be back.
- Pros: great massage
- Cons: remote location
Not Worth It
by CatBlue
I went to this spa because of Spa Finders Deal Days. Alas, I didn’t have a good visit and won’t be back. Upon arrival, I thought I'd be offered a robe and slippers and shown the relaxation area. That didn't happen. Instead, the man at the front desk began by telling me, "All services under the Spa Finders Deal Days specials are cash only." That was a problem because I meant to pay with my debit card. I asked if he knew a Citibank nearby and he did look one up for me.
There are no locker rooms; you change in the massage room. Even though it was now 5pm the room was still not ready. When I went upstairs, I was greeted by a male therapist. Oops, new problem. When I booked my appointment I wrote my preference for a female. The therapist went downstairs and the guy from the front desk came up to talk to me, but only to say there was nothing they could do about it. It was now 5:10pm.
The room was cold and the massage so-so and painful at times. When doing deep tissue, men just don't know their own strength, even when you tell them to ease up. He massaged my back and my feet, with just a few strokes on my legs. To my surprise, he said "Take your time getting up" and it was DONE without me ever turning over. Worse yet, it was only 40 minutes! The massage started LATE, it should have ended at 6pm, but when I looked at my watch it was 5:50pm. NOT COOL.
The man from the front desk asked how it was and I let him know I did NOT get my full 50 minutes. No response. He brought me to a Bathroom/Shower/Sauna combo area, all in one room so it can only be used by ONE person at a time. Good thing they weren’t busy. The sauna is TINY. You can't lie down and even sitting up was tight as I am 6 feet tall. It also took a while to get hot; I was in over 15 minutes before I broke a sweat.
There are no bins for used towels/robes, so I left them by the sink. When I went to pay, the front desk guy kindly let me use my debit card instead of schlepping to the bank. I asked was it normal to only have one side massaged and he said yes. Only during the longer massage sessions, 85 minutes, will you get both sides. Finally, I had to ask for water because no one had offered me any since my massage. I had a thermos of ice with me to take into the sauna, which was lucky because he gave me a bottle of water out of a cabinet and it was warm.
- Pros: I was allowed to use my debit card instead of cash.
- Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE; Awkward space & SO-SO service & massage
