In Short – Carrie and Charlotte from "Sex and the City" would be tickled pink that the second branch of their favorite bakery has opened closer to their uptown apartments. Though the new location's handful of tables couldn't accommodate the girls' brunch plans, the large prep area does provide a grand stage for watching the creation of the sweet treats. Eleven varieties of full-sized cakes are available, as are banana pudding, cookies and pies, and, of course, the heavily frosted, breakup-soothing cupcakes.

Love the convenience of parking on the street close to the bakery. So much space to move around from cupcake, cookies, cakes and drinks.

inside smells like a dream, red velvet cupcakes are slapp your momma good, banana pudding tastes like what your southern grandma would make if you had one....

Best cakes, good location. Magnolia Bakery made cupcakes a nationwide food fad. People claim the downtown location is best, but this Upper West location will fill your fix.
