Editorial Review for Friedman's Delicatessen – by Justin Hartung
In Short
Chelsea Market regulars are used to paying big bucks for sandwiches, but even they might raise an eyebrow at dropping $20 for one at this kosher deli. But at least the atmosphere--table seating, bistro lamps and a classic checkerboard floor--is more restaurant than lunchtime quickie. On the menu, burgers, hot dogs, soups, knishes and blintzes support the main attraction, heaping sandwiches like classic pastrami or the Highline, piled high with corned beef and tongue.
