“We were impressed with everything in this place, the friendly service, personal attendance by owners, marvelous food, even the bathrooms smelled nice (something not often found).”
“It's in a great location(near everything) with reasonable prices.”
Perfection!!!!!!!!. Absolutely superb! The food was perfect, and quick to arrive without making you feel rushed, beautiful setting, simple yet elegant menu, casual but very classy - but by far the best asset was the staff -- very attentive, kind, and helpful in particular waitress Ally who was just wonderful! A must for anyone in New York City!!!!!!
Some of the best service I've ever had in a NYC restaurant. Warm, attentive service. Fantastic wine by the glass. Delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere and great location. What more could you ask for? We'll definitely return!
great food, great wine list, service was so-so.
+the fried calamari and zucchini appetizer was so-so.
+the location and ambience were very good.
++the wine list is great and reasonably priced.
+the lobster ravioli was pretty good.
=the papardelle was okay.
-our server was nowhere to be found, so I asked someone esle to help. They said that they would and then disappeared never to be seen again.
Simply... Amazing. The place to go for great Italian food--- also the service is great. Try to get Ben-hur, he is really nice
Menu and Wine Pairing Fantastic.
Returning for Mothers Day, my wife talks about the place since last year. I enjoyed the wine snobs (REDs) list that reflects some forward thinking about the menu and pairings.
Great for family casual dinning and special events.
THE DESSERTS, SHARING IS REQUIRED!!!!!!
Unhelpful arrogant managers.
Food is ok, I've eaten much better in the city for this price range.
Trying to ask couple questions to the manager Eric, he was very arrogant and shut me up.
For sure he lost a client and my business lunches.
Lovely Dining Experience.
A friend and I chanced upon Bistro Milano on a recent jaunt to NY and stopped in for lunch. It was perfect. The herb bread was soft and yummy. We shared a Rigatoni with Bolagnaise sauce and a Mushroom ravioli as well. Both of which were quite heavenly. The house Chianti was also quite tasty. What a wonderful find. I will definitely go back when I am in the Midtown West area, which is often!
Kudos to our waiter, "Ben Hur" (as it said on my receipt) who was so chaleureux and incredibly well-versed in italian foodlore.
Consistently Good!.
My friends and I have eaten at Bistro Milano at least a couple dozen times by now and we have never been disappointed. As a frequent traveler to Italy for the last 20 years, I found the food at Bistro Milano to be consistently good. Good selection of wines too.
I recommend Bistro Milano for currently good Italian food in a New York City otherwise chock full of pseudo, wanna-be Italian imposters!
Great food and ambience. This is a good operation: food is very consistent and the staff is very friendly. When you walk in just ask for Enrico, he will make your meal a special event.
Great Italian Food and People. We all know there are literally thousands of Italian restaurants in NYC but few have all the qualities of Bistro Milano. We just came back from another visit to the city and tried this restaurant for the first time. It was so good we ate 2 dinners and 1 lunch there in 5 days! The manager Enrico greeted us at the door and within minutes made us feel like old friends. The service is great with the friendliest people in town. The menu has lots of variety and we tried soups, salads, pasta, pizza and fish and all were outstanding. Everything is homemade and fresh. We had a salmon dinner with mashed sweet potatoes and asparagus which was as good as we've ever had. What flavors!! It's in a great location(near everything) with reasonable prices. We like it so much I have e-mailed all my out of town friends to make sure they try it when they're in NY. I highly recommend Bistro Milano. Go there and ask for Enrico and you'll feel right at home! Ciao!
