This was my first in home grooming and we are thrilled! My bichons are seniors (14 and 16 yrs) with warts and ligament problems. They must be handled carefully and can no longer (physically/emotionally) be left at groomers for hours. George was wonderful with them and surprisingly neat and fast (and prompt). My dogs weren't stressed AT ALL and neither was I. He did everything and gave them stylish puppy cuts---now they don't look a day over 9. I am very picky. My bichons tend to get very matted and I have had unfortunate experiences with even the highest end grooming places, and must walk around the neighborhood in a stupor until it is time to pick up my dogs. And usually my dogs are nervous wrecks both before and after. No more. I am only mad at myself for not having had the luck to find George sooner. I am also someone who doesn't let just anyone into my apt. George is trustworthy, polite and he listens to your concerns and pays attention and you can stand right there and watch him groom if you want. (He's a great conversationalist to both humans and dogs). No noose around the dog's neck, no harsh words, no crates. He washed them in my kitchen sink. I provided the towels, he cleaned up everything. His prices are fair and reasonable. Try him once & you'll never ever go back to grooming places again no matter how high end. p.s. I'm a real person. I've never written a review for anything in my life but when it comes to the care of my dogs and those who treat them well I will do everything. I met a woman in the street who uses George for her poodle and the woman seemed as neurotically bonded as I am to my dogs. I had the sense that she was not just trying to get business for her groomer but that this guy was really good. He has a website and refs and many years at established grooming places (and there's one very well known one that would like to have him and all his clients). That's it, I'm out of characters or I would never stop praising him!
Pros: All thumbs and paws up!!! short notice (4 days), flexible appt. times, not rushed, patient, the pros are endless
Cons: The only con is that George can't be cloned.

My pooch has been groomed and cared for by the proprietor for over nine years. Being a sensitive dog with a difficult type of coat to groom, I would never trust anyone else with her. I have confidently referred KK to others and I have received the most wonderfully positive feedback. If you love your dog, have it groomed by Katered Kanines.
