In Short – Though the menu is brief at this Indian hole-in-the-wall, where the most noticeable adornment is the Bollywood pop soundtrack, the seasoning certainly isn't one-note. Spices are ground on premises and the menu promises no "pre-packaged masalas." Chicken or veggie biryani make up the limited entree choices, while samosas and rolls satisfy those just stopping in for a snack. Sweet offerings are short-listed, too, with only rice pudding and halwa for dessert.
Best Biryani in NYC
by Vij
Hands down, the best biryani in NYC today. We're UES's Indian and love the authentic lamb biryani. Just like Hyderabad! And they'll make party size biryanis. We know tons of friends who also make the trip to them just for the biryani. Need to bring your own wine. Great value.

The food is reasonably priced but the crappy service means I will never go back here. I have had delivery from here a few times and each time it is such an arduous process because the person answering the phone does not even speak basic English. This last occasion I had to spell the name of my street 4 times and he still did not understand. One hour later when my order still hadn't arrived I called back and a different guy answered the phone who said the previous guy did not write down my address correctly so they couldn't deliver it. Instead of calling me to check the address they just sat there waiting for me to call. He did not even apologize for making me wait, instead he just said "well, what do you want me to do, I wasn't here to answer the phone!" - like it's my fault they don't have staff who speak English. Go to Kathi Roll Company instead - at least they can understand your order and the food actually arrives!
Good Food , Great Price

Gem of a place perhaps serving the best biriyani in town. They have a limited menu. After multiple visits to this place my favorite item on the menu is the Nargisi Qeema Paratha Roll. Very different from the kati roll which you find at other places. Spciy Ground chicken with boiled and shredded egg rolled into a paratha. They do a good job of keeping it non-greasy ...
- Pros: Good Food , Great Price and Quick Service
- Cons: Limited Menu
