excellent doctor, great experience - facelift, botox

I waited 4 years before deciding to go ahead with a facelift. I have had botox before. Went to several consultations and felt most comfortable with Dr. Jafri. He was polite, honest and explained everything to expect in great detail. Most of all he was very direct in saying that he believed in natural results and that is exactly what I got. My family was skeptical of me doing this but now 6 months later they are happy to see how great everything turned out and what a boost it has given me. I highly recommend Dr. Jafri - he is a wonderful doctor!

Dr. Jafri saved my life

I have been a patient of Dr. Jafri's since 2003. At that time I was diagnosed with a cancer that had grown from my cheek sinus into my eye. With the help of Dr. Jafri and Dr. Costantino at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, I was able to get through several major operations to remove the cancer. During my second surgery I woke up in the middle of the night and felt as though I was choking. I called the nurse and at first she said nothing was wrong. After I called her for the third time she finally called the on call doctor who came and saw me - he barely looked at me and told me to get some rest. I couldn't take the feeling of choking any longer so I had my daughter call Dr. Jafri (he kindly gave me his cell phone number and said to call anytime if I had any problems). Even though it was in the middle of the night, Dr. Jafri was there within 20 minutes and did a full exam on me. He found a large blood clot that was blocking my airway and removed it right away. He was gentle and reassuring to me the whole time. The next day one of the residents told me that I was very close to choking to death and if Dr. Jafri had not taken care of me it was very likely I wouldn't have made it through the night. Since then I have had Dr. Jafri reconstruct my right eye and face to the point where I feel confident and comfortable once again. I am even considering having a face lift with Dr. Jafri to celebrate my life and how good I feel. Thank you Dr. Jafri for being an outstanding doctor and my deepest thanks for all you have done for me over the years in getting my life back on track. God bless you.

Excellent experience, very honest Doctor

I cannot recommend Dr. Jafri enough! I turned 50 last year and while I think I overall look good for my age, I was noticing more and more little things that bothered me like loose skin on my jaw line and neck. I never saw myself as someone who would get plastic surgery but my youngest daughter's wedding was this summer and I wanted to look my best for it. I did my research and met with 4 different doctors - Dr. Jafri stood out from the rest right from the first visit. He is very knowledgeable and really took his time to explain everything about my face and neck and different options that were available to me. UNLIKE THE OTHER OFFICES, I DID NOT FOR A MOMENT FEEL LIKE I WAS BEING PRESSURED OR SOLD TO - I FELT COMFORTABLE AND LIKE I WAS BEING HELPED AND GUIDED IN MAKING A DECISION FOR MYSELF. I did choose Dr. Jafri to do my facelift, necklift and chemical peel - I have been extremely satisfied and really felt my best on my family's special day. I am planning to go back to see Dr. Jafri this year to talk about having my eyes done and I am sure I will be treated honestly and given the best advice.

What a waste of time and money for a Poor result!!!!

I went to Dr. Jafri Sept 2010, because of the very good reviews I saw here. Because of what was happening in my life at the time, I thought having a mini surgery would boost my morale a little. Anyway... He explained to me on my first visit, the whole procedure and that I only needed a small intervention. He said the amount of money he asked for would cover all the necessary follow-up procedures. The first surgery was not very successful. I still have to hide the scar along my ear even now!... one side of my face is pulled more than the other. He charged me separately, for the corrective mini surgery -- claiming that it was a different type of surgery. After several mini interventions my face is so much worse than before. I feel like crying. I am not rich -- just trying to make ends meet. I definitely could have spent near 8K wasted this way on something I really really needed -- like my mortgage :-(... I was much more beautiful than I am now. Also, on several occasions, he would examine my face and tell me exactly what he was going to be doing on my next visit only to cancel the appointment or if he did not cancel, he would ask me what I want done this time!!! What???? A couple of occasions, I would be waiting in his office for a couple of hours, he would be passing by acknowledging me with a smile... then, he would finally see me around 5 PM or so, he would tell me that I should come back to get this or that done, as it was too late now and he does not have his assistant!!!!... He would assure me over and over again that he will do the procedure for sure next time... that it will take him only 5 minutes to do it... and thank me for my patience... I would leave his office happy feeling that it will be ok next time. But, nothing gets done... I have to take time off work to come to the appointments. Where is his respect? Dr. Jafri: I had a very high opinion of you when I first came to you.But after so many months now, unfortunately, I have lost all my trust in you -- both as a doctor and a person. Just because you are a doctor you cannot treat people without respect...

I have been a patient of Dr. Jafri for 2 years. He performed a mini face lift last September. I am very satisfied with the procedure. Everything was explained in great detail. I was made very comfortable by Dr. Jafri and his nurse. I highly recommend Dr. Jafri.
