Saved Our Dog's Life
by CatherineBlair at Citysearch
Thank god for Dr. Cindy Bressler! Our dog was overfed at a party and got bloat. Those of you with large dog breeds know how serious this condition is and that if proper care is not administered within an hour or two, the dog will die. We were beside ourselves. It was terrifying. We called the nearest vet and they were closed (it was late at night.) The recording on the answering machine had her number for emergency care and we dialed it right away. Dr. Bressler RUSHED over. She stabilized our dog, making it possible for him to survive the hour-long trip to the nearest Pet ER, where he had emergency surgery and survived. She was also very good at keeping us calm so that we could comfort our pup on the ride to the ER. We now use her house call service whenever our dog is feeling poopy. He loves her. Her dog-bedside manner is excellent; she is gentle and knows how to make him feel relaxed and at ease when she's doing her checkup. When she visits, she always takes the time to answer all my questions and explain everything. She is also happy to text with me, which I really appreciate, whenever I have a quick question about the dog. I definitely recommend Dr. Bressler after all, our dog would have gone to doggy heaven way ahead of his time if it wasn't for her swift action in that crisis. Sure, she's a bit pricey, but it's worth it for the convenience of a house call, and she is just lovely.

Dr. Bressler is fantastic, helped cure my cat of diabetes
by Helene G at Citysearch
My cats are both very frightened by travel, and when one cat got very, very ill from undiagnosed diabetes, I was afraid to traumatize her further by taking her to a vet several blocks away. Dr. Bressler came to my house, was extremely calming and thorough, helped me figure out how to give my cat injections, helped me find less epensive syringes and meds, as well as an additional, less expensive person to assist me with the first glucuse tests and injections. Five or six weeks after my cat was diagnosed, she recovered completely from diabetes. I credit Dr. Bressler for knowing the latest treatments, for being available to me for any questions, and for her compassionate care. She is the reason my cat is alive and healthy today. Yes, Dr. Bressler charges more for a home visit, it is costly, and I am poor. But we worked out payments, and the cost was worth keeping my cat happy and free of travel trauma. I highly recommend her. I should have written this months ago!
- Pros: House calls! Very thorough, up-to-date on latest treatments
