“I'm always worried that I'll get stuck with some hipper-than-thou server, but my waitress was so genuinely friendly, and I could hear that she was being just as friendly with the other tables.”
I'm addicted.
Seriously, I've cut down to ordering just once a week. The Mee Goreng is by far the best wok noodle dish I've ever had. I also buy rooster sauce there. They are quick and food is great. The Indian Roti is also phenomenal.
YUM
Unassuming eatery serves noodles and more.. This Lower East Side corner restaurant may not boast the ambience of its more stylish peers, but there’s something appealing about the no-nonsense, fast service and tasty, cheap eats. A dozen or so small wooden tables are easily rearranged to accommodate parties of varying sizes, while a row of bar stools are occupied mostly by solo diners. The kitchen (visible through an open window) churns out Thai standards like Pad Thai, sesame chicken wings and spring rolls, in addition to sides like sautéed baby bok choi and jasmine rice. Portions are generous (think heaping portions of shrimp over lo mein) and inexpensive, and a BYOB option helps curtail the bill.
best birthday dinner. took a friend for a birthday dinner and it was a great experience. the staff are friendly and the service was great. they took really good care of us the entire night. the food was delicious as well. definately going back.
Good Lunch Special, Super-friendly service. I stopped into this restaurant for lunch, after I saw how crowded Clinton St. Baking Co was, and I was very happy I did. I ordered from the lunch special menu, which I thought was very generous, and gave you a lot to choose from, as far as entrees. You get a taro roll, spring roll, house salad, and noodle dish, and all were very yummy. But I really felt that the highlight of my quick lunch was the service. I'm always worried that I'll get stuck with some hipper-than-thou server, but my waitress was so genuinely friendly, and I could hear that she was being just as friendly with the other tables. Definitely a place worth another trip!
good food, good vibes, good times. I've been living in the LES for 3 years now and have finally found my delivery spot for good asian food. I call, place my order and within 20 minutes the food is at my door smoking hot. I was curious to see what the place was like and decided to go there for dinner one night......service was good....food was even better....and the funky music and old school kung fu flicks were the cherry on top.....I will definatley remain a regular......
Great new LES restaurant.. On my way to a concert in the LES, I happened upon this cool restaurant. We sat at the big, central bar table and were waited on immediately. The crowd was diverse and constant, the menu is straightforward and the food was perfect. We ordered several different plates and shared (with these prices, you can afford to do a complete tasting). The veg. pad Thai - favorite. The location is perfect and the large windows surrounding the joint are a breath of fresh air in a world of small, claustrophobic city spaces. Stop by a liquor store, pick up a few bottles of wine and bring a group of friends - it's nothing fancy but you'll have a great time.
The popular West Village noodle shop brings its low-cost pan-Asian eats to the Lower East Side..
In Short
Bring an appetite, but not many bucks, to the second branch of this West Village outpost specializing in affordable noodles and sups. The window-heavy corner spot--decorated with Far East newspapers and manga comics--attracts trendy downtowners drawn to mammoth portions of pad Thai and Singapore soup: squiggly udon noodles swimming in coconut curry broth. Vegetarians will find much to munch on, including garlicky eggs noodles studded with mushrooms and seitan and veggie fried rice crammed with smoked tofu.
Good find in the LES. My wife and I went to this place last night for a quick bite before a friend?s party in the LES and we both found the food and service to be very good to excellent. We would definitely go back next time we are in the area.
