“I've had the salads almost everytime I've been there (both Arugula and Italian salads are excellent and the small sized one is enough for 2 people) , and everytime the food quality has been excellent.”
“The food was good and the price was right.”
Such Ridiculously Bad Service!!!. Just called bellini...order and go there all the time. I was on THEIR website and the manager told me that there was an extra charge for a side. I explained that their menu indicated side or pasta. She said...that's not what it says. I explained again that it said exactly that. "It's not our website your looking at." I'm very busy if you want to order there's an extra $2 charge for a side." Even after I offered to walk down and show her the website, she insisted that someone must have changed something and she would not honor it. Amazing...over $2, they have lost someone that went/ordered there 2 to 3 times a week. REALLY BAD BUSINESS PEOPLE!!!
Slipped in charges. A group of five of us had dinner. Food was basic but fine. Two problems. We were charged a service charge for our group. I'd never heard of a service charge for groups of less than eight people so i was floored by this. The second problem was that we were charged four corkage fees when we had actually opened only three bottles of wine (and one was a screw top we opened ourselves!). We also all used the same wine glasses so there were was no extra costs to the restaurant. I think they thought we wouldn't notice. When I brought this up with the manager they were unapologetic and I basically said that they were losing five customers as we would not been returning Didn't seem to make much difference as they said they had been in business for over two years. I said " good for you" and we all left. I will not be back.
best pizza and arugula salad. i am from LA and visitting. i really want same quality with same price in LA amazing food for great price give it a try, it is worth to try. nice and cozy place
Best pizza on UWS north of Patsy's.
Definitely best pizza on UWS north of Patsy's (Patsy's still rules!), but better than my former UWS favorite, Dean's. Equals or almost equals Gennaro's pasta, and definitely better than Pappardella's, Arte Cafe, and the other generic Italian places in the area. Will go back when I'm hankering for good Italian but don't want to venture out of UWS
Specifically:
- Pizza was very good, not fancy but very decent. Bottom crust was still somewhat crispy when it arrived, which was good. Outer crust was a bit dry, but I prefer that to a soggy crust any day.
- Linguine a la vodka was surprisingly delicious, and the price point was just right.
- Tiramisu was excellent--fluffy and not too sweet, and again the price was right.
delicious food. I live a few blocks away from this restaurant. There are so many pizza/pasta places in my area to choose from, but Bellini has been the one place I can always count on for affordable, delicious food . I've had the salads almost everytime I've been there (both Arugula and Italian salads are excellent and the small sized one is enough for 2 people) , and everytime the food quality has been excellent.
Great deal. I went here with 2 friends a few weeks ago. The food was good and the price was right. I had the seafood pasta dish. Granted the scallops were cut into pieces to make it look like it had more than it did but it was tasty. They don't have their liquore license yet so it's BYB which works for me.
Editorial Review. Italian restaurant is in just the right spot for dinner after a trip to the Museum of Natural History.
