Campo is excellent. Great food and service. I've been back several times and the experience is always a pleasant one. The Chocolate Molten Cake is a great way to end any meal!
Good Restaurant, Good Service, Good Food, GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR HOME DELIVERY!. I live in the neighborhood...met non-neighborhood people for a get together...place was pleasantly crowded with locals and Columbia students. Had good food and drinks. Loved the thin-crust (Margherita) pizza and appetizer meatballs! Have since ordered for delivery...it takes a while but the food is good...not GREAT...but good. Last night we ordered the Rigatoni Arabiata and a side of meatballs with a Ceasear Salad (one order for two people). Everything was good but it delivered so late the manager (?) or someone decided to deduct the meatballs ($8.50 plus some other stuff) from the bill which I thought was really nice. This was our second time ordering in (last time was Chicken Parm with Mozz and Fried Green Tomatoes. It was good and tasty...but again took a really along time to deliver). I recommend the place for a nice meal...especially in this restaurant challenged area! PS...The drinks were OK too...but stick with wine and beer.
Great Drinks and Food in a Cozy Atmosphere. Campo is a welcome change from the hordes of college bars in the neighborhood. The food is delicious--I recommend the housemade mozzarella and fried green tomato caprese, the margherita pizza and the linguine and clams. The real draw for me and my friends is the bar, which features delicious and inventive drinks with shockingly reasonable prices. Most of their specialty drinks, which would probably cost around twelve to fifteen dollars at more trendy bars, cost around nine dollars, and they have happy hour twice a day. The service can be a little slow, but the waiters and bartenders are all friendly.
Tasty Italian Treat in Morningside Heights. Campo was a welcome change to the restaurant it replaced at the same location. I like the atmosphere and the buzz in the place. The menu is short, but the food is consistently tasty. My favorite: The BLT with crispy pancetta and yummy herb mayo. DELISH!! The service is friendly although, like most places uptown, it can be slow sometimes.
Editorial Review. Like its sister restaurant Nonna, this casual Upper West Side Italian restaurant serves classic home-style fare.
