just thought i would say how i feel.
After reading all the negativity on city search i must jump in and say a few great things about sfactor.
yes, as the lady said they could do something about the lockers for people who are in a hurry from work and need a place to lock up belongings.
As a S Factor member i will also say that YES they should allow you make-ups even if you can't sign up for another 8 week course, 440 is a lot of money.
Besides those 2 complaints which are totally reasonable, I will say without a doubt that S Factor is the best thing that has happened to me as a woman.
I love going, its the one time during the week that i can just let go and relax. being a mother of a new 10 month old hyper child this is the place to unwind and re find myself. Here at S Factor I can close off the outside world and re charge my batteries for the upcoming week. I gained almost 60 lbs in my pregnancy and since joining S Factor I have lost ALL my baby weight and have a new sense of self. The class feeds me emotionally and helps me find my inner erotic creature, so I can say since joining S Factor I am a more complete person and I love sharing this moment in my life with other like minded people.
i think every woman should take S Factor classes, i know its just my opinion but like i said in the start it is the best thing to happen to me.

Read the student agreement very carefully.
LESSON LEARNED. READ THE STUDENT AGREEMENT VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY.
I took the intro class and was eager to sign-up for the 8-week level 1 class. The staff booked me at the 54th street studio instead of the beautiful 23rd street studio where I did the intro. When I asked if the facilites were the same as 23rd street the staff member said it was even better because it was a brand new studio. What she neglected to mention is THERE ARE NO LOCKERS. Who wants to come from work in a suit and have no place to put your belongings and change in a cramped bathroom!!! False advertising at its worst because that studio is a dump. Because I complained they let me sign up for a future level 1 session.
So far so good. 3 weeks into the class I developed bursitis in my hip and had to take a break from pole dancing. When I asked the staff member whether I could make-up the session she said I could make-up the sessions at any time. Now that my hip is better I just tried to schedule my 4 make-up classes. Guess what?!?!?! I can't do make-ups at any time as I was told. I have to do all the make-ups within the same 8-week cycle. When I called the studio to complain the manager, Audrey, had the nerve to tell me that she could help me schedule all 4 make-up classes this week. Is she crazy? Why would I want to take 4 pole dancing classes all in the same week especially when my hip just got better. Forget it. I just wasted my money. $480 is not cheap. While the class itself is fun and a great way to exercise, get toned and feel sexy.... clearly the staff at this facility are not properly trained to answer questions. All they care about is collecting $480 from you. What lousy customer service.
Anyone planning to take classes at S Factor should ready the student agreement very carefully and make sure you understand how things work. Otherwise you are likely to lose your money.
OK Class.
There's are a few really terrible places out there pretending to be what they are not or pole dance/striptease classes that do 'special services' on the side for male customers (don?t need to elaborate there). Well this school is not one of them.
They are really professional in their approach though they do tend to lose themselves in a 'girls love your bodies' kind of hippy-likr overt 'heal thyself' mentality.
The people who go to the classes seem to gather and talk about have chips on their shoulders from relationships and unhappy lives. If you didn't actually see a pole there you would think this was some kind of 'abused women?s anonymous' group.. A lot less healing talk who?d have sufficed.
To rate just the teaching of the pole itself and the floor workout (minus all the "get in touch with your feelings" bogus chat) I'd rate this school very highly, but I have seen better classes that do get to the point and teach like a general class not a counseling session.
