A great addition to the East Village. Element is located a couple of blocks away from my apartment and I really enjoy going here. The manicurists are friendly and always listening to what the customers needs are. The prices are reasonable which helps in this economy and you can find a good mani-pedi deal. It's open until 10pm during the week which is really helpful. They also have a nice points program where you can earn points on purchases towards free manicures. Definitely a nice perk!

Great Service, Beautiful Salon...Good Service.... I visited the Element Beauty Lounge on April 18, 2009 as part of Spa week and just to refreshen myself before my spring break was over. I was skeptical at first because Ive seen places that claim to be spas but are really nail shops, holes in the wall or someones apartment turned into a spa. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I like to feel the full spa treatment without hearing people come in and out like it's mcdonalds. Anyway, when I got there for a 11am Mani-Pedi and facial i was once again skeptical but it really is a nice place with two floors, upper for nails and chair massages and underground is like an oasis, dimly lit with sliding door rooms. Very clean. I was greeted and offered tea or water a mini-bar with a vogue magazine. I was delighted. my facial expert came up to greet me and escorted me to my room. she was really nice and explained my skin to me and used alot of Dermologica products. The bed was very comfy with duvet like sheets but shouldve been a bit heated, I never had a facial before so this really turned me onto it. Next I had a milk and honey 75 min Mani-pedi in a massaging chair that has alot of soothing options. They use alot of their own organic products, so you can inquire with them whats good and not good. The tools were sterilized as well as the foot bath. After my Mani-Pedi i was seated at the drying station and recieved a mini-massage (bliss!). The nail polish options are endless as they use Essie and Opi polishes, they also sell them as well as the facial products. The service was really great, I could ask for water or anything while my service was being done and they all speak English very well and mostly use english around the customers, as opposed to some places where everyone only knows a few words and constantly speak watever as they service u (Hate that)...like others have mentioned there are tvs everywhere on the upper floor playing all types of music. Only downfall was the coughin and sneezing, 2 of the workers were coughing and sneezing like flowers were in the room and i caught one not covering her mouth...plz spare me the germs (thats why they got 4 stars), also its not one of those spas where you roam around in a robe, I'm not sure how massages go, but for my facial i was asked to remove my upper half of clothing which I didnt mind but everyone may not feel the same as I...I would definetly recommend this place...as they say if a place has a clean bathroom then their good to go!...well check there's its sparkly right down to the glitter tiles!

pamper haven. element beauty is the perfect place for a day of pampering.

they had the most amazing massage pedicure chairs and a complementary massage after your manicure! the many services that were included in their treatments were soothing and relaxing. the workers were so nice and pleasant. the receptionist at the front desk was very accommodating and explained each treatments to me, when i was totally lost with all their choices. they also have tv montors everywhere with music videos, which was a nice touch.

it's been about a week since my treatment but both my hands and feet still look fresh.

Should be a regular part of everyone's day. Element Beauty Lounge is a MUST!!! From the eye catching exterior to the beautifully designed interior, everything about Element Beauty Lounge screams high quality service and relaxation. There is a wide array of colors to choose from, including the seasons hottest pick. Once you have made your selection, the nail technicians pamper you to the max. I had the hot stone treatment which included: hot towel massage, hot stone massage, mud-pack on your legs, leg massage, paraffin treatment, callous removal treatment, etc. Kay was my nail technician and she did a phenomenal job and was extremely kind as well. I highly recommend her. My mani/pedi was done impeccably and I absolutely love the color. I received a tour of the lower level and the sauna and massage/spa rooms are really nice. I love that Element Beauty Lounge is so clean. They don't reuse their materials like so many other places and their prices don't do justice for their amazing service!!!!

That's hot!. My fell in love at my first visit at the element lounge. Their service is amazing! i was relaxed and pampered from head to toe. Unlike other nail salons and spas, they're very gentle with skin yet still manage to exfoliate all the excess junk on my hands and feet. My feet haven't felt this soft in ages! I highly recommend the hot stone treatment. It will relax you to the max and relieve your stress.

simply fabulous. i walked into element because their window display were eye-catching and so trendy!

when i found out that it was an urban spa, i could not help myself but treat myself to their spa manicure and element pedicure. it was simply fabulous, the element pedicure included so many treatments such as the mud mask for your legs, paraffin for your feet, heel therapy treatments, hot towel massage, and so much more! the technician who provided the service was very friendly, and she explained every step of the treatments and how they are helpful. she was accommodating till the moment i stepped out of the spa, and i feel like i have gotten so much more than my money's worth. i would be back to element every time i need to take a breather. i would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the quiet and a qualified spa on their day off.

Editorial Review. East Village day spa offers the usual treatments (mani, pedi, facial, massage) in an unusually clean, bright, luxurious atmosphere.

Fabulous Services and Staff!. One of the best mani/pedi's I've ever gotten in the city. I went in after a long day at work, and was just exhausted. The girl who did my mani/pedi was an absolute sweetheart and made sure that I was as relaxed as possible. She was sweet, and did a meticulous, marvelous job on my nails. The facility is brand new and has state of the art massage chairs for pedicures. The price of the treatments doesn't even begin to do justice for the level of service. I've paid far more for not even half as good manicures and pedicures.I give this place 5 stars and am absolutely going back soon!

I Love the Nail Service. For a mani-pedi, you simply cannot find a better place. The nail services are skilled and luxurious. While most nail salons consider a massage to be a quick pat of the back of your hands, the Element nail techs provide long, muscle-relaxing true massages. And they always have sweet smiles on their faces. For a mani-pedi, Element simply cannot be beat - anywhere in the 5 borroughs.
