Best Mini Facials Ever – I passed by Season Spa today and noticed their mini facial and anti stress back massage special and decided to try the mini facial for $25. It was amazing! The price was great, I mean where can you find a mini facial for $25? I did extractions and to my surprise my face did not turn out red at all. The lady did a thorough job cleaning out my blackheads and I thought my face was going to be red since that's what usually happens, but my face was literally glowing after. It was too bad I didn't have time to try their anti stress back massage today, so I scheduled an appointment tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how the anti stress back massage goes tomorrow! (But trust me, their mini facials are really awesome... especially if you're on a budget and want to look amazing).
HORRIBLE SERVICE STAFF ETC – I have been to many other spas and this is no "spa"; it's a nail salon that pretends. The staff seemed friendly, but I had a woman who didn't speak English and therefore did not confirm the services I wanted. I wanted an Aromatherapy Massage and Body Wrap (under Slimming Treatments) and a Dehydrate and Sensitive Skin Treatment Facial. The massuese was good with the body massage, the wrap I don't think did anything, and the facial says there is a deep cleansing/evacuation of the skin. There was NO evacuation. No blackheads were removed, and I feel like I've had nothing done. ADDITIONALLY, the NOISE in this "spa" was ridiculous. One woman on the staff left her cell phone in the front area, while she was in the back room. and it rang twice loud blaring rap music. Three or four times someone actually came into the room and spoke with the woman who was working with me. The staff all spoke in loud voices throughout, and didn't ask other guests to keep quiet as well. It's a small place, so I understand it not being completely silent, but this was totally ridiculous. THEN after I was finished, they told me I owed 100 dollars more than I calculated from their website ($130-$230). I FOUGHT with the owner on the phone who refused to come down, settled on a number in between and put in on my amex so they can fight for my money. And I printed out a copy of the website that clearly states the price and services. Would never go again and will tell many people to not go either.
On behalf of Season Spa, I apologize for any inconveniences you might have experienced at our spa. Our goal is to provide you with quality service in a comfortable setting. I have spoken with our employees working the day you came for your service to get an understanding of the situation & working with our staff to assure you & future customers that the noise level should be kept as minimal as possible & to clearly explain to our customers the service that is being provided. I also apologize if there were any misunderstandings of the prices being charged for your services that day. However, I can guarantee that our website has never promoted a package special for a 1 hour massage, 1 hour facial & body polish with moor mud for only $55. A body polish & moor mud wrap alone is $110, plus a 1 hour massage is $68 and a deep cleansing facial is $55 all total to $233; it is not nearly possible for us to offer those services for $55. I assure you we will continue to provide quality service.
Miraculous microdermabrasion and fantastic facial. – I used to have pretty awful skin as a teenager, and before going to Season Spa, it was apparent. At Season Spa, for a mere $60 (SpaWeek deal), I got microdermabrasion and a deep-cleansing facial, and now my skin is smooth and blackhead-free for the first time in forever. I can't stop staring in the mirror! Jennifer, the esthetician I saw, was sweet, attentive, caring, and did a perfect job altogether. We had a wonderful conversation as she tended to my face, which made me feel comfortable as opposed to lying there silently for two hours -- but that's just my personality. She customized the routine for my particular face and skin issues, and even did a little bit of eyebrow work. I'm definitely going to come back over and over, because I can tell that treatments here are the cure to my ails, and will wean me off of foundation once and for all. I've got an appointment for four weeks from now for a mini-facial with extractions, and any blackheads that even try to crop up will be shuddering in fear when I step back into this Chinatown gem. I wish I had a before and after picture to show you all -- I swear, Jennifer did such a good job that I'd be accused of Photoshopping!
