This place DELIVERS!!!. I am a serious beer drinker and routinely visit the city's most popular places. Had heard about this place from friends and had checked their website and got much more than I expected from a place this new. The owners have clearly done their homework regarding the beer (a nice mix of American craft brews, something for every palate), the food and the atmosphere. Go for happy hour when all tap beers are $3!!! (so much better than the $1 off most other places offer), order some sweet potato fries (crunchy and served with amazing boubon maple bbq sauce or a creamy horseradish sauce), or housemade soft pretzels with killer homemade mustard, and then stay for dinner. The shortrib sandwich is incredible. Everything is fresh, inventive, and totally satisfying. There was a good crowd for a Tuesday night, nice energy. This place is going to catch on...

I'm A Craft Beer Convert. went to the East Village Tavern last week and I was pleasantly surprised. I was never really a micro-brew guy, but I'll have to say a tried a few and I am a convert. Talking with the bartender I made my way through some of his suggestions. I really enjoyed the Hennepin. The bar had a nice vibe with the front doors open to the night air. Cool jukebox! Didn't eat anything, but the guy next to me ordered the sliders and seemed pleased. I will definitely be back to try a new craft beer (as I learned from the bartender).

Great Service!. I don't usually do this but.. I went to the East Village Tavern on a Friday night recently by accident and it wound up being one of the best nights! The place was packed! Regardless of the amount of people the service was amazing! Normally you would expect to wait forever at the bar while the bartender ignores you. It was the complete opposite here! I haven't been down in that area in a few years. However, after experiencing the new vibe I would absolutely go back!!!

East Village Tavern (Ave c & 10 stree). Went to The East Village Tavern with 8 friends celebrating my friends PHD. What a blast. The beer selection was insane. We all played the pass around game, where you get to taste everyone's beer selection. I'm good, but there were some I had never had. This is a beer lovers paradise. Drinking great IPA's (Dogfish head 90 Minute imperial for me), great friends, Great jukebox (a little too loud for my taste) and a wide open view of one on NYC coolest neighborhoods (all the front walls open onto the street).

We only had finger food, but it was excellent (sweet potato fries with dipping sauces and the best NY pretzel I have ever had). I will be back and would recomend this fantastic gem in the lower east side! Cheers!

Just Fantastic. This is among the best bars for beer that I've ever visited. With 16 beers on tap that rotate as the kegs empty (except the Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA), There is going to be something for every taste. At very reasonable prices ($6-7 for draft beers), the selection is fantastic. If they have it, try the Old Rasputin Imperial Stout. You're in for a treat.

I DRINK BEER. I DRINK BEER. and I like to drink many different kinds of beer. And I like to drink many different kinds of beer with different kinds of food. And I like to drink many different kinds of beer with different kinds of food with many cool people in a cool bar that has a view into the kaleidoscope that is New York. Well I now do that at the east village tavern. Old New York, brick-faced interior serves as a wonderful palette for the beers as diverse as the many ladies (and dudes) that are sitting throughout the establishment. I drink more beers, I talk to more people, I have more food, I HAVE LIFE.
