In Short – The hunt for quality food and hospitality stops at this brownstone space, where the well-to-do flock for cuts of cow that don't disappoint--in portion size or tenderness. The deep red walls and upholstered chairs make for sophisticated surroundings lacking only in pretension. If you don't see the attentive owner, or his son, the manager, meandering about, you'll still feel familial warmth radiating on all three levels. Dine in the main room, or in the lounge upstairs where the pianist plays smooth music at a volume not at odds with dinner conversation. Preface your entree with…

Not good for catering

by BMort25

Was with a large party on Saturday night; staff was completely unprepared for us. Everything went wrong and made a special evening turn out to be less special. Food, drinks and staff were not organized.

  • Pros: Multi Level
  • Cons: Not good for big crowds

Not so greta

by TimRim1

Been here a few times and food was always outstanding; asked for the Chef and he is no longer here. Needless to say, the food is not up to par anymore. It's either overcooked or undercooked; salty or not seasoned enough. Disappointing.

  • Pros: Ambience
  • Cons: Food went down hill

Top 3 steaks in in Manhattan

by ChefKreemy

Formerly Bruno's, a friend and I popped into Club A last night, having not heard much talk as to whether any good or not as a steakhouse. Lobster and Escargot to start were good, though escargot could have used more garlic. After that, it got amazing: 24oz. Prime Aged bone-in ribeyes were cooked to a perfect medium-rare with a crust that I will use as my standard for all future steaks. 5-cheese truffle mac and glazed brussel sprouts w/ bacon were two of the best sides I've ever had, affordable wine selections, and wonderful desserts. Service rivaled the food and owner/management, Bruno and Agron Selimaj, treat you like family. This was truly one of the best overall dining experiences I've had in recent memory and is going in my Top 3 for steakhouses. They really do a great job and I will definitely be bringing guests here frequently from now on.

  • Pros: Perfect steaks, amazing sides, outstanding service
  • Cons: none
