I really wanted to love this place. When I saw that Fresco on the Go was opening on Pearl St., I couldn't wait. I have eaten at Fresco uptown and loved it. This location, however, just doesn't measure up.

The store itself is modern and clean and well organized. The food is a letdown. The salads are mediocre -- small portions of the different components. The hot chicken dishes rubbery and the hot vegetables cooked to mush and tasteless. The wraps cannot hold the contents and become impossible to eat without a knife and fork. The pasta and pizza are just okay.

And I wonder why, if there are 3 people behind the counter and I am the only one on line, does it take me 5 minutes to pay?

I've decided the food is not worth the price and will probably only be back here for their chocolate chip cookies, which are the only excellent item in the store.

It's a typical NYC lunch spot, but on steriods and way futuristic cool!. OMG! After hitting the same old tired lunch spots, I found this place that makes the same old lunch foods really cool. The new twist on pizza, made with a toasted pita bread crust was just fabulous! The 'make your own pasta' bar was delicious, but you may want to share it with a coworker or friend because it's just too much for one person at lunch. The zucchini fries are sinful. Everything is fresh and tasty. It's cafeteria style, but the service is friendly. This was a great find in the financial district. It's just the perfect lunch spot for busy people.
