Good service; Poor execution of concept.
I was looking forward to this for several months. While the idea is great, the execution is rather poor.
Wines: Where there is a wide variety of wines, you will be fairly disappointed if you already have a specific preference and want to choose more than 2-3 within that range. The pours should be half the size for half the price (2 oz instead of 4), and $6-8 instead of $10-20.
Decor: The area is much too small. Not only are you trying to enjoy your wine (with company perhaps), but you have to squeeze yourself into a tiny seat, trying to avoid the people next to you or walking behind you.
Technology:
The wine selector is a neat idea. However if you've ever used an iPhone, you will find the projection screen extremely clumsy and difficult to use, especially if you want to put your hands on the table or your glass on the table.
Customers: Filled with tourists and bridge-and-tunnelers. Choice quote: "Oh NoLita? That stands for North of SoHo."

Editorial Review. At this new-age wine store located inside the Time Warner Center, use the interactive menu and a pre-paid card to taste wines from automatic dispensers before purchasing bottles of the varieties you like best.
