Love it everytime. I have been so pleased by the service and hair cuts each time I've visited Birds and Fellas. For someone with curly hair, I'm very impressed with how they are able to give it style.

I highly recommend for the amazing cut, style, and customer care!

Excellent atmosphere and service!. Birds and Fellas is absolutely amazing. It is small and quaint and my stylist Jennifer made me feel special. I have never had someone spend so much time on my hair, constantly asking me if I liked where the cut was going. I have always heard that a great haircut should grow into another great style and mine has done just that (it's been 6 weeks since my visit!). I am really excited to go back, not only because I know I'll love how my hair looks, but because I can't wait to catch up with Jennifer again.

love love LOVE it!. I tried this salon out by recommendation of a friend and I was blown away by the friendly service and the customization that makes this shop extra special. A complimentary beverage, and not just water.....are you kidding! You had me at Pinot Grigio!

No only do they take note of your favorite magazine, favorite beverage, and have phenomenal offers.....they have stylists that give kick a$$ hairstyles!

Thanks Birds & Fellas! You'll be seeing me again!

AMAZING!!!. CoCo is the best! I would highly recommend her and this salon to everyone. The salon is nice and cozy, which made me feel extremely at ease. My mother is coming in town for Mother's Day, and I will definitely be stopping by with her. Tell your friends and family!!!

My Best Salon Experience!. I found this place on CitySearch. I was happy to see a salon that had a nice website, with a particular design aesthetic. When I got to the salon (I arrived early) I was offered a drink which was nice.

my stylist (jennifer) was fantastic, friendly and interested in making my hair look it's best. As a man, I am often stuck with the "men's haircut", whether I pay $12 or $100. She was interested in my opinion and actually worked with me to make it happen the way I wanted.

The place is small, but super cute and comfortable, and they offer a lot of small perks that will definitely keep me coming back.

Great Hair Experience. After reading many reviews on Citysearch, Yelp and asking my friends, it seemed as though I would enjoy getting my hair done at B&F. Not only did I enjoy it. I loved it. I have 4 glasses of wine and chatted with CoCo my stylist who was completely adorable. She went the extra mile to do exactly what I asked for, but was reasonable. The washing station was the best 15 min of my life. The color came out wonderfully and I would definitely go back and ask for CoCo. This is a wonderful little salon with charm. Its also very clean and inviting. GO TO BIRDS AND FELLAS!

High tech hair salon with style to spare that won't break your piggy bank!. I'm always on the look out for "the next big thing" - and was totally excited to stumble across this jewel of a salon in the East Village last week. My best friend elbowed me as we walked by and pointed out the hysterical sign in the window: "Get Your Hair Did," which made us laugh. The second thing that caught my eye (well, ear...) was the awesome, chill music drifting out into the street and the inviting, warm design that was at once futuristic - flat screens on the wall of each station - and cozy (exposed brick; a bright, airy yellow back wall). I also noticed that a customer waiting to get their haircut was surfing the web on sleek, white laptop computer(!) while sipping what appeared to be a martini(?!). Well, snap! - that made us stop in to find out more. "BIRDS AND FELLAS" has a lovely, friendly staff who explained that a haircut, color, or treatment (very reasonably priced!) at B&F Hairlab is WAY more than just your usual hour spent at a salon - at B&F it's a "complete experience." And boy was it! As a walk-in, they were totally able to accommodate us right away - I had a free consultation with Coco who was so cool and attentive to the style I wanted. She gave me THE. BEST. scalp massage I have EVER had at a salon - EVER, and proceeded to cut my hair in a way that allows me to make it trendy on the weekends and conservative for my day job. The full beverage bar (which is FREE!) was great! I opted for sake - though my friend had wine (how cool is it the beverage selection changes by season?) The music design apparently also changes every few weeks (at the moment B&F is featuring unusual covers of famous songs... I loved me some Britney "Toxic" - presented in a totally un-Britney arrangement.) Best of all, I learned that my 3rd haircut was free... So you can bet I'm going back again to this original, unusual, and inventive salon. AND - perhaps most importantly - I got a kick-ass haircut to boot... for a very reasonable price!
