What a Shame

I would have loved to have been able to use the Gilt Voucher I bought for a cut and style at Georgia. With all of the rave reviews that I read about the salon, I was very excited to experience the hype. However, after trying to make an apointment, and being told that they would get back to me they never did. When I called again, the woman booked my apointment for a week later, but was less than enthusiastic, and seemed more reluctant than, happy for my business. Much to my surprise, when I showed up for my apointment, the salon was closed, and shuttered. What a giant disapointment. Gilt was nice enough to refund my money for the voucher, and assume responsibility for the poor business etiquete that Georgia Salon showed. Shame on Georgia.

Best Stylist Ever

Georgia is one of my favorite places to visit in the city. The stylist, Sharie, is incredibly knowledgeable and gives me the best haircuts I've ever had. She's also a top notch expert when it comes to coloring hair and recommending the best products for different hair types. I've never been so happy to step into a salon, nor have I ever trusted the advice and work of a stylist this much. If Sharie isn't cutting/coloring your hair, she should be!

guilt free

I have no business buying high priced clothing anymore. Fashion shopping no longer feels good, it just makes me feel guilty. My new obsession is beauty products & cool stuff for my home. This stunning boutique is perfect. It has lotions & potions from all over the world. Plus, so many cool products for my hair. I've already fallen in love with 3 new lux shampoos, 1yummy serum, and 1 beautiful golden brush. Holly-molly! Oh, and the hot-pink, silk pillow case made the best gift...for myself! I'm completely in love with GEORGIA. Will do all my holiday shopping there. I think you'll love it too!

Loved It!

Found this salon through Citysearch, the service was amazing and Sharie did a great job with my hair. Ever since I had my hair done here I've been receiving compliments on my color and cut. The salon is part of a beautiful boutique that sells a great array of hair and body products.

Seriously awesome hair

I absolutely love this Salon.

I have been seeing Sharie for color at Georgia for the past several months. I have loved the service I received and have been extremely pleased with my color. Sharie is a true gem: always happy, sincere, and smiling - a pleasure to chat with. She is the only colorist there, which is great. Sometimes at other salons you can feel like someone forgot about you in the corner while your color sets. The personal attention I receive in this salon is unique. As for the color, I could not be more pleased. The color is vibrant and it doesn't fade or dull. The salon also really convenient. They are open late, and my schedule is always easily accommodated. Georgia also has a well-selection range of merchandise from jewelry to lingerie to beauty products. I have no complaints. As long as I am in NYC, this is going to be my salon!

• Cons: there aren't more of these salons!
