great place to escape!
by LizKu
It was a cold night. Snow was falling. The street was indescriptive. We, my friend and I, found this place lively and warm outside and walked in. The jazz band was performing the second set. There was a positive energy around and we ended up ordering two glasses of wine at the bar and then a bottle. I don't remember what it was but it was earthy and nice. I will go back to try the food.
- Pros: Great ambiance, wine, music, service
friendly cozy place with reasonable pricing

I love this place and I keep going back there. It has a nice atmosphere , good for casual dates, or just meeting up with friends after work for some drinks and dinner.... Prices are very reasonable for the quality they serve ... What makes this place special is the owners. They are very passionate about what they do and they are very friendly ....It's like they spoil you with their service and friendly attitude ...
Burgers are cooked on fire, fries are home made fries ... It comes with the free beer on Tuesday nights ...
Cocktails are very unique and tasty , they put their European experience on everything they make ... I signed up on their Facebook page and receiving e-mails about the discounts and events done there .. Overall, this is one of my favorite places in town :-) Highly recommended..
- Pros: best burgers in town with free beer
bad.

I think they forgot to cook the mussels that they served us. They were all slimy and such. We ordered two orders in addition to other stuff. There were three of us and so they offered us one drink as we were leaving. That's probably just because our server fell down a rabbit hole though sometime during our meal and the hostess finished serving us the drinks that we ordered--oh wait, actually no, we didn't receive those. The fries that were served alongside everything might have been good had I been able to hack my way through all the salt that they were enveloped within.
- Pros: goose island IPA
- Cons: everything except the beer from Chicago
Awesome little spot!

Dropped into this place with my girlfriends a couple of nights ago and was delighted by the intimate dark atmosphere and especially with the impeccably good tapasish small plates. Delicious little grilled meatballs and shrimp salad with fried okra. Cocktails are original and tasty. I had the gingerouge, which is made with a house-brewed earl grey tea infused vodka and house-made ginger juice. Dee-lish! I'll definitely go back.
- Pros: Great tapas-style food and original cocktails
Great little spot

We stumbled into this little place on a Sunday afternoon by happenstance. Brunch was ending in about 20 minutes and the owner said that she could get us in. But we weren't interested in the brunch, we just wanted a drink or two. The Lazy Mary and Crazy Mary were probably two of the best Bloody Marys we've ever had. The owner makes them especially good. We then moved on to some cocktails, the Gingerouse is terrific. The wine bottles were next. Great Malbec and Shiraz. The appetizers were divine as were the entrees. The dessert, decadent. One drink turned into 6 hours and the live jazz added to the perfect lazy Sunday. Hospitable and friendly owners, very passionate about what they do. Highly recommend it.
- Pros: Great drinks, food and atmosphere.
- Cons: Zero
