Extraordinary Design House, Extraordinary Service

Simply put, Cymbeline is extraordinary. The gowns, the accessories, the service, and the boutique amount to a treasured find for even the most discriminating bride. If you want something truly unique that rests at the height of current fashion, then Cymbeline is for you.

Having spent many months researching on-line what kind of bridal dress I wanted, I finally narrowed my choices to Cymbeline and Priscilla of Boston. A last-minute schedule change prompted me to contact Cymbeline on Thursday to see if I could set an appointment for Saturday. Within minutes, the staff was responding to my e-mail and making the necessary arrangements. When I said that my price limit was $2,000, they assured me that they would easily find my perfect dress within my range. I was doubtful, as the photographs I saw on their website suggested much higher pricing.

On the day of my appointment, my grandmother, mother, and I arrived half-an-hour late due to traffic we encountered coming in from Connecticut. As we approached the designated place, all we found was a tiny placard indicating that Cymbeline was upstairs on the second floor. We could not have guessed from the non-descript entrance what awaited us there. Surely, Cymbeline has positioned itself quietly in its gorgeous studio because only brides who know what they want will know to look there for it.

Ivy, the manager, welcomed us profusely, not at all put off by our tardiness. She was lovely in every sense. She listened attentively to what I wanted, yet she also offered some different styles so I could experience a range of gowns. The fourth dress I tried on was "Dicchi," and it was the most spectacular dress I have ever had the privilege of putting on. The decision was a quick one, expedited by Ivy's studied eye that picked out the perfect veil and accessories. Amy, the wonderful seamstress on hand, quickly set about pinning the dress to achieve what will ultimately be the final effect.

As much as we all loved the dress, Ivy was careful not to make me feel pressured, knowing as she did that I had other appointments scheduled. It did not take long, however, for us to agree: there was no other dress for me besides Dicchi, and no other designer besides Cymbeline.

I seriously urge all of my fellow brides to make an appointment with Ivy. The workmanship and styling of these dresses, combined with surprisingly affordable prices and superb service, makes Cymbeline what it is: a true Parisian boutique that is a hidden gem in New York.

Only Shop I Went To

Ivy made the experience at Cymbeline great! She isn't pressuring or in your face. She's honest and kind. Although she can be a little scattered, she' takes the pressure feeling away and you feel truly special. The dress selections are to die for. Silk, Lace, Taffeta, Ribbons, Couture... Who wouldn't want a gown from here? I was lucky enough to meet the designer who got right into making the dress work for me. She was a French woman who spoke no English yet we understood eachother well enough. She was very opinionated when it mattered and helped me feel confident in the style i chose. the wedding isn't until 5/14/11... i bought the dress right then and there and skipped out of my Kleindfelds appt later that afternoon.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience

I am not one of those girls who has been dreaming of her wedding dress all her life. In actuality it seemed pretty daunting and scary to go out and look for that "perfect dress". Well luckily I fell into fantastic hands, Renee and Ivy were all I could have asked for. And of course, I found my dream dress... Thanks ladies! Can't wait to come back for another visit.

Look no longer for your perfect wedding dress!

I recently went wedding dress shopping with a childhood friend in the New York Showroom. It turned out to be a fantastic experience with an incredible consultant. Ivy helped us, and after listening to the type of wedding and what my friend was interested in, she immediately started pulling dresses that perfectly fit the price point and the profile. She knew her stuff and called "The Dress" before my friend had even tried it on. And boy was she right, the dress was STUNNING. All of the dresses at Cymbeline are impressive, and each fits to the unique bride. And for a girl who watches a lot of "Say Yes to the Dress", I know what I'm talking about when I say that these are WOW dresses at reasonable prices. I can't talk more highly of Ivy; she wasn't pushy, got to know us very well and laughed throughout the appointment, keeping it light and fun. I will definitely buy my dress at Cymbeline as well as soon as I find the right man ;-)

I went in and found the perfect wedding dress in a matter of minutes, and was so happy with the experience that I purchased my rehearsal dinner dress, veil, and accessories there as well.
