Great Place for Office Parties. I work at JP Morgan & we were planning an office party. I called several places in the area to get prices. Mica Bar quoted a great price package for open bar and for party platters. I felt their event planners really went out of their way to help me plan our event. All the things that I asked for were completed. The day of the party the event planners were there to make sure all went well & the staff was great. The Platters looked amazing and a large selection of food. We all had a great time and I will continiue to use Mica bar for all our parties.

Great Date Place. I just went there on a date and I had a very nice time. The place had a good vibe. My date and I had a very nice cocktail server who took care of us. She recommended we try the seafood ceviche. Very yummy. They had a nice wine selection. The music was cool. A nice mix of cool lounge music.

Over all experience eas enjoyable and I would come back again with or without a date.

Open Roof Deck, DJ, Kickin Happy Hour Specials & Friendly Staff. I went to Mica 51 with some friends a few times and everytime I go, it's great. Every day of the week they have amazing happy hour specials. The open roof was very nice. I felt like I was having drinks over a friends house in their back yard. I liked the menu. I had the mediterranean spreads, tuna tartar & garlic bread bites. All were very tasty & easy to eat. We went on a thursday, they had $4 house mix drinks,$3 draft beer and a $4 apple martini. Can't beat that for after work. But they also had this Midnight Mojito that was out of this world & my friend tried their Dulce de Leche martini. It was nice that they added a few more flat screen tv's. Came in handy watching the Mets on the open roof. The Dj was spinning some 80's & flash back new wave. Very Cool.

An Asian-fusion theme, a girl-guy fusion crowd.. The Scene
The vaguely Oriental decor, with hints of Moroccan gold thrown in, looks like it all came from the same theme store, rather than a buying trip to the East. But get past that and enjoy a sake martini in any of this lounge's candlelit corners. Both floors offer the same low wooden tables, intimate seating and furtive glances cast every which way. After work, co-workers woo each other and whoever dodges the triple-digit tab goes home happy.

The Draw
On the lounge menu, empanadas and sushi both vie for attention. But quality is high and there's enough variety to kill your dinner plans and make you stay put. Spicy crab cakes with red pepper are served easy-to-eat on garlic toast; coconut shrimp is sweet and light. Tapas and colorful martinis may suggest romance, but relentless DJ dance music a la "Move that bah-day" squelches the mood for some.

Open Roof!. A great place to gather with friends, great staff, we had a fun time. DJ rocks. Cannot wait to come back.

We sipped mojitos under the stars, the open rooftop is a great idea.

unexpectedly nice. The staffs and service are actually quite the contrary of the negative comments posted here. I went there expecting bad service and "tall beautiful asian waitresses", as one of the posts stated, but it was totally the opposite. There were mostly people--men in suits, techies, and not too many women early in the evening--who work in the area. The service was rather quick consider there was only one bartender in the roof deck bar, and he was very courteous. That was my experience, but of course, we all have different expectations and needs thus different experiences, so read the users' reviews with discretion.

Not bad. went to the new location on 38th and 3rd for Thursday happy hour. met a group there and actually were able to sit at the tables - decor is nice, and especially liked the front windows opened out to the street. definitely worth a try!

first and last time.... I went with some co-workers to Mica bar for the first time last night. We enjoyed the food and the drinks, and were ready to spend a lot of money that night, but were literally "kicked out" in a very rude way when we were told to "make room" for a bigger party that had a reservation. Instead of trying to accomodate us differently, they just told us to leave...needless to say that we left for good and won't be coming back...ever...

Hip & Cool. This classy little joint is a relief to the beer fueled frat boys a few blocks up. The staff is not the friendliest, but the crowd is usually upbeat and the music is always good. The prices are reasonable as well and they have a great wine list. It is definatley worth checking out.

don't go. I have been frequenting bars at least once per week in NYC for the past 2 years. This bar was without a doubt the WORST bar I have ever been to. The service was horrible, the drinks were mediocore at best and the bouncers and managers were the biggest jerks there are. Once you get in, all you want to do is find an exit and run out, but oh wait, THERE AREN'T ANY. you are trapped in the narrow hallway that is MICA BAR. It would take at least a six digit figure for me to return to MICA Bar. And even then, i'd rather just stay home for the night.
