Great Thai food in Upper Manhattan. Charm is a small place that could be easily overlooked if you pass by quickly, but don't be fooled, this little nook does not disappoint. Great food, really nice portions and reasonable prices make this a wonderful place for a Girls Night Out, a nice date, or dinner with friends.
Delicious Thai Iced Teas and More.
Girls' Night Out is a monthly tradition for us so we're always looking for a new place to spend a Friday night.
Charm was not only convenient to get to for all of us (coming from the LES, Soho, LWS and Morningside Heights), but it was also worth the trip.
I was excited to try out the Frogs Legs, but since I couldn't get anyone else to test them out with me (next time), I went with the grilled scallops with pineapple and chili sauce - Delicious. The jasmine rice that came with the entre was the perfect addition. Charm has a full appetizer, entree and dessert menu, along with regular specials. We arrived during happy hour, and between the 5 of us, we ate well at a great price. The staff was friendly, and knew exactly what they were suggesting when we had menu questions. The place is a little small, but for 5 people, and another group that came in with 8 people, it was a good fit.
We definitely have to go back, even if only so I can finally get those frogs legs.
Good not Great. A friend treated me to dinner here and we both enjoyed the food. The decor is nice and the wait staff was friendly. I was able to catch a glimpse into the kitchen and that looked pretty clean. I had the Panang Chicken and my friend ordered the crispy Red Snapper. Our only complaint is the small amount of rice they give you. Come on! rice is the cheapest thing you can eat but this place is rationing :-) We had to order more (was charged $1). I ordered a mango drink off the menu...avoid it! It was pure syrup, extremely sweet. Overall the food is good. I'll go back.
