The pairing of Jason Neroni, the pork-happy chef, with the chic 10 Downing space doesn't seem like a natural fit. But then neither did the marriage of Zak Pelaccio, a similarly pork-centric chef, at the owners' previous venue, 5 Ninth. 10 Downing looks more like a standard French brasserie than did that bevined townhouse, but the same kind of electricity is in the air, along with a noise level comparable to The Who at Leeds. But Neroni's bold and punchy menu makes it all work: a squid ink agnolotti with peekytoe crab and pequillo peppers, a mighty charcuterie board, and a duck meatball…

I came here with a friend of mine and I absolutely loved this place! One of my friends and I had the salmon and the roasted beet salad, which was delicious! I will definitely be going back to 10 Downing... Excellent service, trendy art on the walls, delicious food! Will definitely be going back. The new chef is an amazing addition to this place! First time going there and definitely will not be the last :)
- Pros: Atlantic Salmon!
Awesome Service

Went there for dinner tonight. My appetizer (pumpkin soup) was cold and had to send it back, but they sent another piping hot soup which was delicious. Ordered the salmon for the main course, which was also cold, but again, the chef sent it back redone. My date ordered the steak which he described as "average." The chef sent us the chocolate suffle on the house which was deliciousss! Everyone from the hostess to our waiter was welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful - something you don't find often in similar restaurants. Even though my date's food wasn't what he hoped, we both agreed the ambiance and the service more than made up for it .
- Pros: pumpkin soup, amazing service; ambiance
- Cons: average steak
STAY AWAY

I am a NJ resident and I went to 10 Downing Food and Wine restaurant last night and was disappointment on how salty and undercooked the Risitto meal was as well as the outrageous price. I urge everyone to stay away. The restaurant looks appealing but I was fooled. My partner ended up with some type of "fish" bone stuck in his throat and had to visit the ER the next day. STAY AWAY!! Go to Burger King
