Exemplary Neighborhood Bistro. Somewhat limited menu was nevertheless interesting and what we ordered was very well executed -- delicious and satisfying. Bistro space was pleasant, busy but not too noisy when we were there in the early evening. Host was gracious, server was attentive without hovering.

Great Food, Trendy Decor!. I came here with a friend of mine and I absolutely loved this place! One of my friends and I had the salmon and the roasted beet salad, which was delicious! I will definitely be going back to 10 Downing... Excellent service, trendy art on the walls, delicious food! Will definitely be going back. The new chef is an amazing addition to this place! First time going there and definitely will not be the last :)

Awesome Service. Went there for dinner tonight. My appetizer (pumpkin soup) was cold and had to send it back, but they sent another piping hot soup which was delicious. Ordered the salmon for the main course, which was also cold, but again, the chef sent it back redone. My date ordered the steak which he described as "average." The chef sent us the chocolate suffle on the house which was deliciousss! Everyone from the hostess to our waiter was welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful - something you don't find often in similar restaurants. Even though my date's food wasn't what he hoped, we both agreed the ambiance and the service more than made up for it .

STAY AWAY. I am a NJ resident and I went to 10 Downing Food and Wine restaurant last night and was disappointment on how salty and undercooked the Risitto meal was as well as the outrageous price. I urge everyone to stay away. The restaurant looks appealing but I was fooled. My partner ended up with some type of "fish" bone stuck in his throat and had to visit the ER the next day. STAY AWAY!! Go to Burger King

Great brunch but overpriced drinks. Had brunch this past weekend. Kitchen was a bit slow considering how empty it was. However food was amazing across the board. The $14 bellinis were a bit ridiculous since that's the price of most brunch entrees. Doesn't seem too smart considering the current economic climate.

better than Gramercy Tavern. Seriously. Went to dinner here tonight and it was the best meal (for the price) that I've had in years. The prawns were an intriguing starter, perfectly cooked with bright citrus and sharp garlic.I had the bass and my companion the bison. Both were complete--I would not have changed a thing. For dessert we shared the deconstructed peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a lovely, not-too-sweet finish to an amazing meal. Sadly the decor and service do not do justice to the food, but the relatively low price for the quality makes those shortcomings easier to overlook. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

Best Restaurant I've been to in a long while!. I almost don't want to write a review for fear that I will make this place even busier than it's become. I reach about the much-anticipated opening of 10 Downing and made a reservation with some friends who were in town. Outside of a very drafty table - the experience was so amazing. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Even though 2 of the people were running late, they seated us and let us order apps without attitude. The food was incredible! The sheep's cheese, brussel sprouts and gnocchi were absolutely incredible. There were 6 of us and we agreed it was the best meal we've had in a very long time. Ended up meeting some friends there last night coincidently who wanted to try the restaurant per my recommendation? While I didn't eat dinner (had a bite of the chicken though - which was so good and flavorful) we ordered dessert and the bittersweet chocolate souffle was so amazing. The portion sizes are great. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Its try New York in feel with great ambience, service and food.

Greenwich Village Gem. The space and the food are both challenging and wonderful. You feel like your tucked into a swanky neighborhood foodie restaurant and food has lived up to that. It has been very busy and can be difficult to get a table at time, but it was one of the most anticipated venues of the year and has only been open a few weeks. When things settle down this will be a comfortable neighborhood standard with great food.

Left table-less. Very nice reservationist confirmed a table of four for 10pm on a recent Saturday night. Told we may be seated earlier if we were all assembled prior to our appointed time. Arrived at 9:30pm and shoe-horned into the bar area. The two stars are given for the spritely decor and excellent carafe of Austrian white. Otherwise, we were strung along and bypassed by trendy palm-greasers. We left hungry at 10:20pm with no table in sight.

Absolutely Delicious !!!. One of the best meals I've had in a very long time, absolutely delicious ! Everything we tasted was perfectly prepared. Great affordable wine list with a lot of diversity from different countries. Staff very pleasant and helpful with great recommendations. Matri'd extremely friendly !!!! One of the nicest greetings I had from walking into a restaurant, bartenders also extremely nice while I was waiting for my husband to arrive. The room is gorgeous with wrap around windows and original art work donated by various artist, absolutely stunning!! Perfect pace for a date. I will definitely be back.
