Best and "prettiest" cupcakes in NYC. I come here all the time and enjoy the pastries while sitting outside or inside depending on the weather. The inside is like a southern French country bakery. Very cute and cozy!

The pastries are my favorite - especially the "new" cupcakes. Almost too pretty to eat. BUT, do eat them they taste as good as they look - yummy and scrumptious.

The wait staff is friendly and helpful - the place is clean - and they also serve REAL FOOD. Meaning breakfast, lunch and dinner. Georgia's has a fantastic menu.

BTW, this is a great dating place too - very romantic!!!

Skip Starbucks and definitely go here instead. Go there, get a cappuccino, try one of their pastries, and you will automatically be off to a great morning. Try the spaghetti carbonera and the steak and eggs entree too--delicious!

Love it here. Cozy, nice people, good atmosphere. Coming here on weekends is a pleasure each time. We like the eggs benedict, and they have some good dinner here too. The charred octopus was really good, and all of the salads we usually get (i forget the names) are unique and delicious

My morning fix. Perfect place to start your morning off the right way. SO much better then going to starbucks or the other generic cafe's in the area. This place has full greatest, a very large variety of hot morning beverages, and the staff is always very friendly and puts a smile on my face!

Great place, good breakfast. Come here all the time to get my morning coffee and either a sandwich or one of their eggs benedicts. Stuff is delicious and makes my morning. They have some really great baked goods, and they are pretty quick in the morning even when its crowded!

Morning treat!. I visit Georgia's almost every morning. They have a delicious cappucino that is large, creamy, and the definitely the best one in this neighborhood. The eggs benedict is really fabulous, and for lunch, they have this dish called the spring penne paste--comes with fresh mozzarella, olive oil, some cherry tomatoes, and other fresh ingredients. It's really the perfect place to visit before work, they have a warm and friendly environment, a great set of baked goods, and they are efficient for the most part. This place also isn't commercialized as Starbucks has become, and they don't let you just hang out at a table for hours without buying anything.

Excellent Breakfast. We had breakfast here the other day and the salmon eggs benedict was AMAZING. The salmon was smoked and fresh, it comes with small beet orange salad, and some really unusual and delicious sauce (something Holland sauce, don’t recall the exact name). The salmon eggs benedict is their most popular morning dish and definitely my favorite. The service was relatively quick in the morning, probably because they know people are on their way to work and don’t want to make them wait. Oh, and try their Macchiato, it’s a bit pricey ($4, I think) but SO WORTH IT!

Good gone bad..... This spot used to be my spot. Loved the coffee, loved the pastries! I also used to occasionally dine there. Lately, the prices got jacked up significantly for absolutely no reason!! They became more expensive them Starbucks and even Le Pain Quotidien !!! So I now enjoyLe Pain and occasionally starbucks if I have too! Both are just up or down a block from Georgia. Closer, cheaper, better.

So ....save your bucks for better things and get your coffee elsewhere. Georgia's owner, I'm a $2500 customer (on average) a year that you just lost. AND I'M ONLY 1 PERSON! Oh well, deal your (not so smart) business decision. I'm out!

66 HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS - LIVE VERMIN .... The location is the ONLY good thing about Georgia's!! The SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, food is OVERPRICED - NOT FRESH!!, CLAUSTOPHOBIC seating arrangement!! FILTHY BATHROOM and to top it off it was one of the noisiest dining experiences on the Upper West Side. Save your $$ EAT ELSEWHERE!! Incredibly DISAPPOINTING!! They should forget about trying to be a restaurant and stick with being an over priced bakery/coffee cafe.

PS Actually, their baked goods are awful too!

As of 4/6/2009 - 66 HEALTH CODE VIOLATION ... Medeocre food and unclean surrounding and TOTALLY OVER PRICED! Check out all the violations .. LIVE RODENTS, LIVE VERMIN EXPIRED FOOD, NO EMPLOYEE HAND WASHING FACILITY, BAD REFRIGERATION .. go look yourself ...

Go to the Health & Mental Hygiene site at NYC.gov

Read all the hideous violations yourself!!

Don't bother!!

Nice service, nice coffee, pricey $ pastries; doubtful PR. Although the flavors were good I had a very specific situation of finding a considerably big and pointy stick in my Canelloni dish which according to the cheff happens to be a Rosemary?? In my mouth it felt like a wooden toothpick.

I only received an empty apologize from my waiter.

I think a manager's apologize would have been more accurate.
