From the first glance, Chelsea’s Platinum Salon lives up to the name: the narrow salon space is decorated in white and silver, with a silver disco-style curtain covering one wall. The twelve stylists, all young and hip, of course, provide everything from standard cuts and color to Japanese straightening, while a DJ provides background beats on weekends. Spa treatments like mani-pedis, massages, and Brazilian slimming (a detoxing weight loss massage) take place in back rooms. If you can’t decide how to pamper yourself, men and women alike can spring for a spa package.

Be Careful!!!

Gosh!!! Gosh!!! Gosh !!!

How can a salon do wrong with hair color. I am left with no words. I am just too upset with platinum salon stylist. I asked them to color my hair rust red and what do they do color it cherry red.

I hate it. And above all they do not even apologies for this spoof and blame me that I should have checked the color before been applied

Are there any good salon who can undo my hair situation.

I have lost my faith in this salon would never return to them even if they offer free service.

Be careful when you visit this salon...

Unhappy Customer

I read a lot of review about Platinum salon. But was not sure if they could really stand up-to the expectation

I decided to have a haircut. I instructed the stylist that i needed a hair cut which should touch

my shoulder not above the shoulder. She did hear me but i don't know what she followed she just went zoooopppp and cut my hairs till shoulder length. OMG!!! it was way above shoulder length after final trimming of hairs.

I was distressed and disappointed to see such a pathetic mistake from a stylist of such known salon.

Ryan & Taasha are terrific

Ive grown a beard from summer vacation and had Taasha trim and shape it. She made me look better than I should and sculpted.

Ryan is a great stylist who naturally under cut me for a perfect shape, then methodically tightened up until the look was a perfect blend of relaxed and sharp. A great tem of talentes stylists, and a fantasticly beautiful and comfortable salon.

WORST SALON IN NEW YORK CITY

I HONESTLY BELIEVE MOST OF THE POSTS BY "HAPPY" CLIENTS RAVING ABOUT PARTICULAR STYLISTS ARE FAKE POSTS MADE THE STYLISTS THEMSELVES. JUST TO PUT THAT OUT THERE.

To start with my review, I made an appointment after seeing the salon while passing by on 23rd, i walked in and booked an appointment with the receptionist for a later date because everything was booked for that day. i wanted color done and a cut. When the day came for my actual appointment i showed up nice and early, the process began and i felt a lil uncomfortable, the stylist that i was placed with looked very dirty, and his voice was extremely annoying. his words and sentences were extremely and unnecessarily elongated. he kept talking to me like he was a stylist from the gods and was going to make my hair look divine. i expected to be there for maybe an hour and a half, it turned into more like 3 hours. I WAS FALLING ASLEEP, the only thing that helped me stay awake was listening to them gossip about other employees of the salon.

In my line of work i have to pay very close attention to minor details, and as there are mirrors everywhere in that place, that's exactly what i did. the stylist that handled me obviously has no sense of personal hygiene, and the people that run that salon are pure idiots for letting people like that touch peoples hairs and charge for it!. none the less, by the time we were finished my hair looked nothing like i wanted it to, the cut was horrible the color was more then 5 shades off. i have not been back, Ive since found a new salon and i am very happy with it. i wish i could remember the stylists name but since i had only been that one time and the entire time i tried to imagine him invisible, i just cant remember. POINT IS, THAT PLACE IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, THEY DON'T TAKE THEIR IMAGE VERY SERIOUSLY AS YOU CAN TELL BY JUST WALKING IN THERE AND LOOKING AT THE "WALLS" AND CEILINGS, JUST AVOID THIS HOLE IN THE WALL AL TOGETHER. IT ISN'T WORTH IT TO RUIN YOUR HAIR, SPEND MORE MONEY ELSEWHERE WHERE THE RESULTS WILL BE FANTASTIC.
