Disagree COMPLETELY with the negative comments!!!. Heads up not all people are going to be happy at a particular salon but that doesn't mean other people can be!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! READ MY NEWEST BLOG POST!!

Worst Place Ever – Platinum Salon Destroyed my Hair. I wish I had read all these reviews before i went and had my hair completely destroyed I recently moved NY and needed a new place to have my cut and color done I had passed by this salon many times and it looks like a really nice place from the outside.

i booked an appointment with Rosanne, for highlights and a trim when i arrived i think i was the only customer there everyone looked upset an miserable it felt very uninviting i went to the front desk told the girl my name she didn't even look at me she just said go find a robe and well be with u soon and just walked away so i went searching for a robe which I had no idea where they even were.

When I finally met the colorist she seemed nice I told her what I wanted and I thought everything went ok until I sat down to get my hair cut and saw my hair in the mirror which was orange at my roots I told the colorist I didn't usually get color only foils but she insisted that the color would last longer like this.

The girl who was cutting my hair said it was appearing this way because my hair was wet and once it was dry it would look fine I told the girl to clean up my ends and she took over three inches off and then blew it out frizzy when I looked at my hair dry I actually felt like I was going to cry I couldn't believe the way my hair looked my roots were bright orange and the rest of my hair was all broken and bleached looking the girl kept saying how great my hair looked I was going to complain but I figured they would give me to someone to try to fix my hair and at this point I didn't want anyone in this place touching me.

When I went to pay my bill which was almost $700 dollars might I add the girl at the desk just gave my hair such a look she knew my hair was ruined she didn't even ask me how my first visit was she just ran my card and handed me a receipt to sign.

I am not a picky person at all and I am not one who would ever write a complaint but people need to stare clear of this place. I ended up having to have my hair corrected which cost me another $700 and now my hair is like straw. Platinum Hair Salon needs a lesson on how to treat their customers and they need to train their staff. I tell everyone I meet to stay far away from this place. So please beware of Platinum Hair Salon this has to be one of the worst salons in NY.

Rosanne is my stylist - and I am nothing but thrilled!. I just felt the need to write about my experience at Platinum, because since moving to NYC I have not found a salon, let alone a hairstylist I wanted to keep going back to.

I have highlighted, chemically straightened, with extensions in my hair - so needless to say it isn't easy making it look great. I came to Platinum after a rec from good friends who had great highlights done there for a good price. I was starting over with short darker hair, and now have long blonde highlighted hair.

I went to Rosanne, in January, because I wanted an experienced stylist and have been back every few weeks ever since. She has totally transformed my hair, and is honest about what we can do with it and fun to be around. People have now started asking me where I get my hair done!

They are also conveniently opened late during the week - so you can go in after work which is a huge plus.

Different color for all hairs.... Platinum salon gotta a very neat and clean look. It sorta looks pricey, but the service not as good as the salon.

I got semi-permanent hair color done, it was like a its name some hair gotta semi permanent color and some permanent. I gotta to look beautiful but looked horrible, all hair had different color.

I wannan say i looked like joker, did not come out of home for many days.

I am definatly going to them to show them my hair color.

and get back my money

Not Impressed. I am new in city and wanted to go for hair color and cut.

I saw the adv of Platinum salon and decided to try them.

I feel sad to say, they did not do the job well. It is basic for any salon to get this 2 things right, if they need to stay in business. Wrong color and wrong cut............. i am not impressed.

I am not sure if i will visit them again.

Agree with all the below Negatives. I use to go to Platinum Salon over a year ago. When I went back a few months ago, I had the worse blowout ever. It was a rush job, 20 minutes, and my hair frizzed up later that night. The place tries to be cool and trendy, but they don't have a clue about what they are doing. Save your money and go elsewhere, there are tons of great hair salons in the area to visit.

Avoid Roseanne; she made me lose my hair. I have been going crazy with horrible haircuts. One haircut pretty much worse than the next in an attempt to fix the original hair cut. I decided never going to Platinum Hair Salon, Roseanne gave me a terrible blow out with no product and she was going to trim my hair afterward and was pulling it the whole time. I was so disgusted at the poor job Roseanne did that I didn't let her cut my hair. My roots weren't straight at all. Platinum Hair Salon is the Worst Salon of all hair Salon.

Hair Broken in Platinum Salon by Roseanne. I Had a very bad experience was when I had an appointment at Platinum Hair salon but was told the stylist wasn't there and took off that day. No one called me and I had traveled all the way down from very far distance just to get cut. My hair completely broken in Platinum Hair Salon by Roseanne, she is very careless in handling my hair. I really hate Roseanne and I never allow Roseanne to do my hair.

Roseanne Ruined my Hair Color. My friend and I had our first visit to Platinum Hair Salon. We won't be going back. We were so disappointed with the bad attitudes of Roseanne and extremely poor customer service. Upon entering Platinum Hair Salon, we were greeted by the receptionist who, after confirming that it was our very first visit to the salon, cattily remarked in a loud & annoyed voice, "Well, what took YOU so long to come here?” No smiles, no laughter. Just an indignant, bad attitude. What a way to make new clients feel welcome in Platinum Hair Salon. Roseanne completely ruined my hair color. A hair Color by Roseanne at Platinum Hair salon is neither relaxing nor enjoyable. Since it was almost lunch, our technicians were busy discussing their lunch. Which restaurant to order from. Then our "professionals" paused during our services to get up and talk to other staffers, and put together a lunch list. Really. Clients were treated as an after thought. I don't know if the stylists work directly for Platinum Hair Salon, or if they just "rent" chairs from Platinum Hair Salon. But the vibe was one of Roseanne’s bad attitude, sloppy work habits and a "we're just too hip to care" bad attitude. Don't waste your money at Platinum Hair Salon and don’t trust us. Find a salon or spa with true professionals.

I found my Salon Home. Incredibly talented stylists at Platinum Salon. The salon lives up to it's name. Very professional as well. After I saw my girlfriends highlights I booked my color appointment through their online booking system. I got a text message confirmation a couple of days before my appointment (love the text option).

I arrived right in the middle of a very busy Saturday and was greeted promptly by a very nice receptionist and offered a glass of wine :).. well why not.

When it came time for my appointment I was placed in a very comfortable white leather chair and talked about the look I wanted which was an update at what Id been getting at Salon Ziba, but Platinum is a much better location for me. Anyways, ana walked me through some really nice options but I ended up staying with he look I had.

2 hours and alot of conversation later I walked out of Platinum Salon a completely new girl. It was the same look but a brighter yet softer shade of blonde that really matched my skintone. So happy! I did have to pay extra for a blow out but it was worth it. Ana put me with an assistant that blew me out for $30 that caompletely brought the look togeer. Too bad I was in sweats.. later went out that night and got aloootta looks :0)

Anyways, I think this place is really under the radar. The vibe was young but professional and the service was on par with a top salon. Looking forward to going back to Ana. xoxo
