Finotastic!!

Fino wine and tapas, is a Manhattan style restaurant / lounge in Queens. Our waiter Ben recommended 2 great half bottles of wine, meats and cheeses, shrimp and garlic, chorizo with red peppers, rissoto porcini, short ribs, and chocolate moose which we loved. Cant wait to attend a wine tasting. Fino is a great addition to Bayside!!

Great Ambiance, Bad Service

The decor at this place is great but the wine by the glass menu is not as extensive as one would think it would be at a wine bar (there are about 15 to choose from I'd say). I tried the croquettes and empanadas and found them to be bland but I compared them to those found in Cuban restaurants in Miami

(maybe I was setting my expectations too high?)

The service is really bad. I went there on a Friday night and while it was pretty busy, our waiter took forever to come to our table and then we had to go find him every time someone wanted a drink (I went with 6 other people so they were making money that night!). And when our waiter finally came over on his own, he's like "I'm pretty busy but I'll make some time for you guys." Maybe he was trying to be funny but it wasn't funny coming from someone who was already providing bad service.

I may try it again but with just one or two other people to give the service another chance (it may be that they're short-staffed since they just opened [giving them the benefit of the doubt]) but I wouldn't recommend it as a place to go with a group of people.

Very Cute

My friends and I were looking for a chill place to just relax and have a nice glass of wine and little bits of food... and we found it here at Fino.. The food was yummy and the wine was delish..lots of choices.. i would go back again!
