“great relaxed atmosphere with professional teachers and adults.”
“The instructors are knowledgeable, motivating and judging from the variety of people there, very skilled at catering to many different clients.”
“The staff is so friendly and helpful, they never make you feel like it's a bother to help you.”
Love this place - Fantastic Intstructor!. I am a runner who never had any interest in group classes. Someone recommended pilates on fifth as a good cross training option. I was apprehensive but signed up for Michelle's Bar Sculpt class. Michelle made me feel so welcome from the very first class - she made sure to see if I had any injuries and taught me how to modify the moves accordingly. Each week the class is very challenging, and she always mixes up the routine so it feels brand new and fun each time. I've been going for several months now and I am definitely much stronger and in better shape. I never thought I'd be that person who HAS to go to pilates each week, but now it is a must in my weekly schedule!
I love love love this place.
the classes are fun and motivating. I love Michele's classes.she is challenging, and fun.
having tried other studios, this place is my favorite! also the customer service is perfect!
i am hooked!
PIlates on Fifth- best classes in NYC. I really loved my class at Pilates on Fifth. It was super comfortable and affordable to say the least. They have a great deal going on right now for 54-58% off private classes! The instructor was fabulous. You MUST check it out.
The Best Pilates in the City!. Pilates on Fifth is amazing, I've tried several different pilates places before this and none of them compare to this. The personal attention you get in classes is amazing and the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I would really recommend one-on-one classes because the instructors really get to know you and how to push you. There is even a great deal going on with buywithme right now that can get you two privet sessions for only $89! Here is the link: bit.ly/asWTIJ Check it out! These classes are fantastic!
Pilates on Fifth is Fantastic. I really enjoy working out at Pilates on Fifth. I have worked out at many studios, and this one is the best I have ever been to. Although it can be packed with people on occasion (which is actually great to see!) it never feels too crowded to get the personal attention I like in my workouts. The equipment is always in great shape, and they have the latest and greatest machines and classes as well (like active core - I think that is what it is called - kills me, but I love it!) My one-on-one instructors are always FABULOUS - they know me, know how to push me, are really great Pilates coaches, and they also make it really fun. I have worked with many instructors over the year I have worked out there, and I have always had a great experience. Also, the front desk staff is always on top of things, friendly, and helpful. Coming to Pilates on Fifth is something I really look forward to during my week.
By Far the Best Pilates in NYC. I have tried several pilates classes at gyms and private studios. Pilates on Fifth is definitely a must try. I recommend buying a package so that you get the full results. Between pilates and yoga, my whole body has transformed!
The teachers are great and the studio is good but the owners are annoying and not professional. They are kind of annoying considering they are 40yrs old and act like they are just young twins.
Great space but you can find a better atmosphere somewhere else
Best Pilates in NYC. Katherine and Kimberly are fabulous, both as people and as business operators. The atmosphere at the studio is very positive and comfortable and the staff is well trained. It is a pleasure to work out here.
Identical twins (and former Rockettes) team up to provide personal training and small group classes..
Katherine and Kimberly Corp pooled their combined savings from shared stints on the Radio City kick line to found this site for the teaching of Pilates. The dancers' dual endeavor incorporates developments in biomechanics--an advancement you'll see with equipment that's markedly sleeker, safer and less akin to mini-torture chambers.
Although the staff is eager to devise an exercise routine for groups of up to five, more than 60 percent of customers opt for one-on-one instruction. The use of props--especially foam blocks, therabands and a halved physioball called a bosus--is key to retraining muscles in terms of range of motion and flexibility. Similar to the old-school ways, however, you'll be continually reminded to pay attention to posture, pelvic placement and abdominal contraction.
Best Pilates in NYC. The ambiance is amazing and the teaching very professional. The owner is well known in the industry having written the seminal books about Pilates. She is also well versed in body mechanics and was instructed as a physical therapist.
