“Since the server was right there she was really on top of the service and we got to watch all the going son which was fun.”
“And all her recommendations were great too, from the wine to the dessert (she recommended this molten cake and I was resisitant because all New York restaurants do is, but like so many things at Ayza it was the best of the best!)”
“know that sholdn't take much, but it's now home to one of my favorite wine bars in New York.”
“take great pleasure in dining out and experiencing new and exciting cuisine but I was in for a classic.”
“We always order a bottle of wine and start of with cheese and some appetiers, and by now we've tried just about everything on the menu.”
“It's just a really great place and it seems to continue getting better.”
“He did recommend a good bottle of wine though :) Dessert wasn't as good as I expected -- the truffles were small and just ok, but everything else in terms of food was good and I'd definitely go back some other time.”
“They seemed to have good wines but the waitress recommened this one and it wasn't all that grand.”
“Romantic dining at a good price is so hard to find in New York, but this wine bar seems really resonably priced for all that it offers.”
“The staff was super nice about how long we stayed, even joking with us by the end.”View Less
more wine please. I had a great time with my girlfriend we had a great flights of wine I had the red and she had a white. The chocolates and wine were great everything paired well together the only gripe I have is the service was slow and wow is the wine expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!…
Best of 2 worlds. Wine AND chocolate showcased, served together....beautiful! Comfortable and relaxed environment allows you to enjoy your company, wine and chocolate.
Wine & Chocolate Never Tasted So Good. What’s better than wine and chocolate? If you go here, nothing at all. This place has a great variety of both. I was turned onto this place by a friend and the way they went on about the place, I figured they were exaggerating. Turns out, they were spot on – in fact I think he left out a few things – such as how this place has an extremely friendly wait staff, the décor is inviting and the place never gets so loud that you can’t carry on a normal conversation. I could order a different combination every time I’m in here and never tire of it. Now I just want to bring all my other friends here.…
No better wine bar in NYC. No better wine bar in NYC, and I have tried many. This place knows their stuff and doesn't have the pretentious feel you would expect from guys that know this much about wine. The setting is great, they offer a small menu of tasty food. If you go in and have no clue what you like or know exactly what you are looking for, this is the place to go. ?If you have room for dessert, try the twenty layer crepe cake--amazing! Wines seem to range on average from $9-$18.…
Never again!.
Important points:
- Good food
- Good waitstaff
- Only one bathroom for the entire restaurant. Seriously?
- Terrible manager named Lea. Treated our party of 13 as if we were unimportant, especially after a worker removed a weight that was on the base of one of the 6ft tall heat lamps. Within a couple of minutes, the lamp fell forward onto our table. The lamp cover & heating tubes shattered, as well as the glassware/plates that were on the table. Pieces of glass flew everywhere and sparks shot from the lamp, burning a member of our party on her face, neck, hand and back. I picked a piece of glass out of the back of her shirt where she had been burned by it. It had fused to her shirt from the heat.
The manager was slow to respond to our needs and did not express remorse or sympathy for the lady who had been burned. She was more focused on repeating that the insurance company would be calling the victim the next day.
Later on she stated in a curt tone, and I quote "I've removed the wine from your bill, which is $300", still expecting us to stay and continue eating inside the restaurant. By this time, we were so disgusted with her attitude that all we wanted to do was leave.
She argued with the head of our group over the bill and after half an hour of arguing said "Fine, if that's what you want to do, do that." Not once did she apologize to anyone in our group, least of all to the member of our party that was burned by their equipment.
Never again will any of us come to this establishment. The manager's actions last night have tainted this place for all of us.…
