Best Place Ever!! – I've been there millions of times and I always have a better time than the last time I came. The food is great and the service is wonder. Also it has an ecclectic mix of people in the urban community. It seems they are always having some type of event there. Everytime I went it has been a good number of people but not in a crowded, annoying way. I go there alot and will continute to do so!
Fashionable....but beware!!! – Fashion 40 is cool....
...... the drinks ARE overpriced & watered down, yet strangely tasty (is this possible?). Some of the bartenders have tudes! So try to get your drink on at home or in your car before you come in. You'll probably continue to buy them though, since you are there. The food is good.
There are all different types (hoods, snooty, regular folk) and ages.
Beware if you have a party, I was kicked out of my reserved area at 11:30pm. No problem I was going to the next party anyway, but it would have been nice to know this beforehand.
Overall a cool place to chill out for...... a while.
NO LONGER FASHIONABLE!! – I went to this establishment 2 weeks ago on a Friday evening..it was a madhouse..the service was horrible. My friend & I stood at the bar for nearly 15 min...and no bartender took my order. When a bartender did become available to take my order, he was rude and placed his hand in front of my face. We left because it was just ridiculous in there. I thought this was a cool chill out spot but it has fallen off big time...avoid this place like the plague!!
ONE OF THE BEST SPOTS TO PARTY IN! – I'VE BEEN TO THIS CLUB ON THE HUBBLE BECAUSE ANOTHER CLUB TURNED ME AND MY FRIENDS DOWN AND MIGHT I SAY I HAD THE BEST TIME EVER.THE MUSIC WAS GREAT AND THE DRINKS WERE WELL SERVED AND WELL PRICED.ALSO THE STAFF WAS PLEASANT AND WONDERFUL.IF U EVER DECIDE TO JUST SPONTANOUSLY POP UP TO ANY SPOT LET THIS PLACE BE THEONE.YOU ALSO DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE CROWD IT'S GREAT NO FIGHTS AND GREAT DANCING PARTNERS.NOT TO MENTION THE SECRUITY THE ARE FUNN Y AND PLEASANT AS WELL,BUT I WARN YOU ABOUT ONE THING GET THERE IN A TIMELY MANNER BECAUSE IT DOES GET CROWDED WHICH IS A GOOD THING.
great food and appetizers – You would never expect great food from a lounge. However, that is not the case with Fashion Forty. Great food, good music, accomodating staff, great manager - Steven. You cant ask for anything else. It is great for afterwork - Thursdays and Fridays.
Avoid this place at all cost – I went to this place on a Saturday night, and it was dead. If you want good drinks and dance, this is absolutely NOT the place to go. The place was dodgy and do not recommend it. This place was so awful that I don't think it deserves a second chance.
The WORST PLACE EVER – This was the worst place ever and I'm not the first one to say it either. The crowd was very hood, the staff did not know what they were doing and the managers were drunk the whole night. A fight almost broke out and that's not the first time that has happened. The General Manager Steven was rude and promised the party girl the world and at the end gave her nothing. It was the worst time ever.
I will never go back to this place.
FYI, anyone can ask their friends or pay someone to write a good review for their place.
Bring your own friends – Is Fashion Forty for men in their forties? That's what it seemed like when I arrived a couple of Saturday's with 2 of my girlfriends. We had a few drinks that were expensive, but decently good. We stood closer to the door because the upstairs and the back lounge area were both reserved. We stood there for quite some time and the DJ played some great music. We had a good time with each other, but that's it. You won't meet anyone who wasn't born in the mid 60's, so bring your own friends if you're a late 70's, early 80's baby. But hey, everything's worth another try.
Great for private parties – I had a birthday party here last year and it was a great experience. We had two tables and a large length of sectional upstairs on the second floor balcony area. The bottles were typical NY bottle prices but the waitress and staff were great. Nobody had a problem getting in and everyone was treated very well. As a surprise/gift/whatever, we got a free bottle of Dom Perignon near the tale end of the party. Admittedly, our group had already purchased a lot, but I still thought that it was a nice gesture. Only problem is that you're kind of cut off from the rest of the club downstairs if you're looking to meet people, but the upstairs is good if you'd like some privacy with your own party.
Friday Night – We stumbled upon this lounge by accident. Once we went inside it was a very nice relaxing vibe. Nicely lit with candles and dim lights. The music was great a nice mix. The crowd was mostly men very few women. The men dressed business casual and women sexy. The bar was overcrowded and seating was limited due to the fact that the 2nd level was designated for VIP only. Prices were descent.
