THIS IS THE WORST, & I wanted to like it. So...I read the reviews, most of them from a year ago, but it sounded good enough and looked like it had ambiance. OMG...the boast their tequila...I asked for Cuervo Gold.."we're out," I asked for Petron, "we have a house tequila"...are you kidding me, it's a Mexican "hip" supposedly restaurant. It's like a bad night club scene with a bunch of 21 year olds drunk in the lobby and their version of a night club. But I didn't get to the food yet, umm, the portions were so small, I never saw tapas served on tea cup saucers before, I think they ran out of dishes...and it was terrible! Like the frozen stuff you make when you're too tired to cook. I just apologized to my bf the whole night since it was my turn to pick the retaurant. CHOOSE ANY OTHER MEXICAN IN MANHATTAN, truly awful!

Las Comidas Horrible.
I went to Las Chicas Locas with 3 of my girlfriends last night. We go out to restaurants in the city all the time. I haven't reviewed any in the past, but now realize I need to if i love/hate one.
WE WERE BEYOND DISAPPOINTED. We ordered guacamole, 8 dishes and 4 pitchers of Sangria. ALL the dishes were TERRIBLE, the guac was extremely mild and none of us had a buzz.
We left completely unsatisfied. The service was ok and the atmosphere was eh, not chelsea cool at all.
Would never go back.

Great happy hour and Mexican food!. Las Chicas Locas has an awesome happy hour and yummy Mexican food. central location too and lots of new bars have opened nearby so you can make a night of the area!

I am aghast!. I will never go back. the food was decent enough. BUT we had an 8pm reservation and at 9:30pm the "maitre'd" literally asked us to have the dessert and coffee we just ordered at a table in the bar area since he has a 9:30 reservation coming in. We cancelled our order, and were AGHAST that we were not even able to finish the meal at the table. For an overpriced mexican restaurant, I would expect better service and accommodations.

My new favorite!!. Not much not to like about this spot. Couple of us came in for a drink on a freinds reccomendation and wound up closing the place out. We tried some of the tapas, which was all very good, but the atmosphere, staff and attitude there was really something special. Definitely heading back soon, viva Las Chicas!!

Great Spot. Great spot, came in with a small group for dinner and drinks and had a really good time. Everything we ordered was excellent, and relatively inexpensive. Being a tequila fan, the selection was definitely more than adequate and the bartenders knew their stuff. Easily one of the best margaritas I've had in nyc. Wound up moving to lounge area after dinner and stayed the whole night, staff was great and went out of their way to ensure everyone in our group had a good time.

Best Mexican in NYC!!!.
A must!!!! Mexican is one of my favorite cuisines and this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in NYC (next to La Esquina).
I highly recommend dining at this swanky yet comfortable restaurant. Everything from the music, service and food was exceptional.
Make sure you try the Cheese Fundido, Guacamole and a Watermelon Margarita.

Loved this place-despite some bad reviews. I loved this place! I thought it was well layed out for how little it is. It is so quaint and actually very romantic. The lounge is well stocked and the menu is pretty versatile when it comes to mexican food. The steak quesadilla is great! I would really reccomend this place! sit outside- its really nice!
